Vanessa Feltz has weighed in on Kanye West’s ongoing troubles, following the rapper’s Twitter outburst on Monday evening. 

Speaking on This Morning on Tuesday, the British TV host, 58, claimed the musician, 43, was in the midst of ‘a hypomanic episode’ and is ‘very, very unwell’. 

Presidential hopeful Kanye’s woes began on Sunday when he hosted a controversial rally in South Carolina, where he shockingly claimed he debated aborting his daughter North, before his outburst on Twitter led to concerns over his wellbeing.

The Kardashians have been left ‘shocked beyond words’ after Kanye revealed that he and Kim considered having an abortion with their first child North West.

The rapper made the comments during a rambling and chaotic speech at his first presidential rally in North Charleston  in South Carolina on Sunday.

He revealed that he and his 39-year-old wife Kim had considered aborting their daughter North, who is now seven, before he got a ‘message from God’.

Following the rally, he went on his Twitter rant which saw him making bizarre claims and comments about his friends and family.

Following the incident, Vanessa said on the magazine show: ‘Well, I think unfortunately he’s very, very unwell at the moment…  

‘I think he’s well documented as suffering from bipolar and I think he’s in the middle of a hyper manic episode and I think the Kardashian family must be worried sick…

‘[He’s] saying all kinds of things that should be kept under wraps in a very confusing and haphazard way. If he really isn’t well, and it looks as if he isn’t, at some point he is going to crash and burn badly and end up in hospital again.

WHAT IS BIPOLAR?

Bipolar disorder is a brain disorder which causes unusual and often sudden changes in mood and energy levels.

WHAT ARE THE SYMPTOMS? 

Moods of those with bipolar disorder range from periods of extreme elation and energy (known as a manic episode) to periods of extreme somberness and lack of energy (known as a depressive episode).

HOW IS IT DIAGNOSED?

According to the International Bipolar Foundation, sufferers are diagnosed with rapid cycling if they have four or more manic, hypomanic, or depressive episodes in any 12-month period.

This severe form of the condition occurs in around 10 to 20 percent of all people with bipolar disorder.

WHAT CAUSES IT?

Currently it is unknown what is the cause of bipolar disorder, which affects around 5.7 million US adults aged 18 or older.   

Scientists say genetics could play a role or that those with a a family history of bipolar disorder are more likely to have it.

Last week it was reported that Kanye is ‘in the middle of a serious bipolar episode’, leaving his superstar family ‘very concerned’. 

TMZ claims the father-of-four suffers from a serious bipolar episode around once a year, resulting in his decision-making being impacted. 

The site reports: ‘Kanye announced he’s running for president via Twitter over the weekend, and also did a rambling interview with Forbes … which drew harsh criticism, confusion and concern. 

‘Our sources say his family and those close to him are worried, but they believe things will stabilize as they have in the past. The problem here, is that Kanye’s proclamations are causing problems.’

Her words come as sources said that Kim was considering divorcing him if he didn’t drop his presidential campaign, after the rapper publicly revealed that the couple had thought about aborting North.   

A Kardashian source told The Sun that ‘Kim wants Kanye to drop out of this race now and she told him if he does not she may drop him!’

The source said that Kardashian ‘lost her s**t’ when West stood on stage and tearfully screamed about the abortion discussion the couple had had prior to deciding to keep their daughter.

According to the source, West later told Kardashian and her mother, Kris, that ‘the only reason he said that was because he knew that he needed something big to get the attention on his campaign.’
