Holly Willoughby and Christine Lampard lead stars taking part in ‘women supporting women’ challenge


Holly Willoughby, Christine Lampard and Emily Atack have led the UK stars taking part in the new viral ‘women supporting women’ Instagram challenge.

Holly, 39, Christine, 41, and Emily, 30, all took to their social media to post a stunning black-and-white photo of themselves in a bid to promote women empowerment.

The viral challenge was created earlier this week and encourages women to support and build each other up through social media. It has been spread by sending DMs to each other explaining the movement and rules.

Once nominated by a friend, the participant has to post a black-and-white photo of themselves to Instagram with the caption ‘challenge accepted’ and the person who nominated them. They also have to use the hashtags #womenempowerment and #womensupportingwomen.

Holly revealed she was nominated by friend Shiarra Bell, stylist Angie Smith and make-up artist Patsy O’Neill as she posted a stunning selfie.

The This Morning star penned: ‘Challenge accepted @shishib @angiesmithstyle @patsyoneillmakeup … Always and forever I will lift up and support my womenfolk #womensempowerment #womensupportingwomen.’

Christine revealed she was nominated by pals Holly, Nicole Appleton and Nadia Sawalha. She posted a gorgeous selfie and wrote: ‘#challengeaccepted #womensupportingwomen #womenempowerment @ruby1kid @hollywilloughby @nadiasawalha ❤️.’

While Emily shared that she was tagged in the challenge by Pixie Lott, Kimberly Wyatt and stylist Danielle Whiteman as she smouldered for a black-and-white selfie.

She penned: ‘Challenge accepted @pixielott @kimberlywyatt @danniiwhiteman ❤️ – #womensupportingwomen.’
