Holly Willoughby reveals the hilarious moment she fell through her chair

Holly Willoughby has revealed the embarrassing moment she fell through a chair and ended up with her legs in the air while on a Zoom chat with Phillip Schofield.

The TV presenter, 39, reunited with her This Morning co-host, 58, during their half-term break for a virtual murder mystery party Phillip hosted with his family.

Returning to This Morning on Monday, Phillip recalled the hilarious mishap: ‘The best moment – thank goodness I looked up – and as I looked up, Holly disappeared out of shot. Completely fell off your chair.’

Laughing, Holly explained: ‘Yeah. The best wifi is where the kids sit to do their homework, so I was perched on one of the kids’ tripp trapp chair type things.

‘So obviously where I am sitting on it, it’s moving… It’s moving… It’s edging back and suddenly it gave out and it was like somebody opened a trap door beneath me!’

Holly, who is mother to Harry, 11, Belle, nine, and Chester, five, with husband Dan Baldwin, 45, was dressed as a jockey for the evening and said her helmet saved her from a nasty injury from her eldest son’s drum kit.

She explained: ‘I went back, my feet went up so my feet were just in Zoom. And thank god I had the riding helmet on as I went back and hit the drum kit – Harry plays the drums!’

Phil said: ‘She disappeared out of shot, her legs shot up and she gave herself her own ‘ba dum tsh’ as her head hit the drum kit. I wish we recorded it!’

Phillip’s daughter Molly, 27, shared a glimpse of their virtual party at home, which saw the family and their loved ones take on personas with their own place mats around the dining table.

Molly shared a snap of the dining room which had been prepared for eight people to take part in the game, three of whom had to call in on the video chat on the laptop that had been set up on one side.

Phillip posted some snaps from another murder mystery evening last month and wrote: ‘Murder mystery night… we’re all in character and taking it very seriously.’

After seeing the photograph on his Instagram page, one follower commented: ‘So you moved out but you’re allowed to visit your family?

‘But I can’t go and visit my children and grandchildren. Just the rich or famous that are allowed, good to know. [angry face emoji].’

In response, Phillip quizzed his critic on where they had heard that he had moved out of his family home, suggesting that he was still living there.

Phillip was reported to have amicably moved out of the £2million family home in Oxford after publicly coming out as gay earlier this year.

In February, when Phillip discussed his decision to come out, he insisted: ‘We’ll always be a family’ and it’s clear they remain close.

He also insisted he still loves Steph as much as he did when they met ‘if not more’.

Staff at the TV studios have been made aware of the star’s change of address, including the drivers who ferry him to and from the studio.

A source said: ‘There has been talk for weeks that Phillip isn’t living with Steph any more, that he had moved out for good and had a new home. He has a place in central London.

‘It’s not as big but it’s the beginning of a new life for him. It very much also seems as though their marriage could well be over.’

Phillip surprised fans on February 7 by issuing a statement on social media declaring that after 27 years of marriage, he was ‘coming to terms with the fact that I am gay’.

In a choreographed follow-up, he took his place on the This Morning sofa besides co-host Holly Willoughby to further pour his heart out.

Writing on Instagram about his decision to come out, he said: ‘With the strength and support of my wife and daughters, I have been coming to terms with the fact that I am gay.

‘My inner conflict contrasts with an outside world that has changed so very much for the better. Today, quite rightly, being gay is a reason to celebrate and be proud.’

He later admitted in a newspaper interview that it was too early to say if he and Steph would stay married.

‘It has taken me a long time to get here, I am not rushing to get to any other place,’ he said. ‘We will always be a family… And where the wind blows us I don’t know. But I still love Steph as much as when we first met. More probably.’

Phillip Schofield and his family enjoy virtual game night with Holly Willoughby and her husband

Phillip Schofield and his family enjoyed a murder mystery party over Zoom with his This Morning co-host Holly Willoughby and her husband Dan Baldwin on Friday.

The 58-year-old TV presenter’s daughter Molly, 26, shared a glimpse at their fun party at home, which saw the Schofield family and their loved ones take on personas with their own place mats around the dining table.

Molly shared a snap of the dining room which had been prepared for eight people to take part in the game, three of whom had to call in on the video chat on the laptop that had been set up on one side.

As well as Holly and her husband, Molly’s beau Will was also calling in to take part in the murder mystery party.

Molly took on the role of Fizzy Cruickshank, and she shared a snap of her place on the table which had its own name card, piece of evidence, and roleplay sheet to help her fully embody the character.

This is not the first time that Phil has enjoyed an event such as this with his family, as he shared snaps earlier this month from their game night.

In the snaps, the family were all dressed up as characters for a murder mystery game night – seemingly the first time they have been together during lockdown.

He captioned the photo with: ‘Murder mystery night… we’re all in character and taking it very seriously.’

ITV stars are reportedly bracing themselves for pay cuts as the channel’s ad revenue has plummeted amid the coronavirus crisis.

While the station’s top stars such as Holly Willoughby, Phillip Schofield and Ant and Dec, are said to be in the clear, the channel’s soap stars are worried about the cuts.

According to The Sun, a source said reduction in talent pay is ‘inevitable’ and younger stars of Coronation Street and Emmerdale are worried about being able to make ends meet if they don’t get any work.

Many lesser known figures at the station are said to be furious at the prospect of their pay being cut while ITV’s top stars will be spared.

A source told the publication: ‘Well-known stars know they’ll be touched but there is some anger that it’s unlikely to affect the biggest names.’

The pay cuts are expected in phases with those unable to present shows said to likely be the first who will be affected.

While Coronation Street and Emmerdale are set to resume filming, many stars are reportedly worried they won’t get enough work.

Those who are paid per episode are particularly worried that their episode count could drop.

Social distancing rules the soaps will be implementing will mean a smaller cast will be required and the slow speed of filming will result in fewer instalments per week.

MailOnline has contacted representatives for Coronation Street and Emmerdale for comment.

Earlier this month, sources confirmed Emmerdale bosses have put together a plan for the cast to return to set in June and film with the use of clever camera angles to ensure stars are adhering to social distancing.

It comes just days after MailOnline confirmed Corrie bosses have put together a ‘return-to-production protocol’ after filming was suspended to follow COVID-19 regulations.

A source told The Sun that bosses are using Emmerdale as the benchmark for filming while adhering to social distancing, as the soap boasts a large set.

It’s thought some of the cast will return to production in smaller groups, with scenes filmed with the use of clever camera angles to ensure stars keep at least two metres apart.

A soap insider said: ‘Production is starting up again in June. Emmerdale is being used as the benchmark for safety guidelines as they have a lot of space and it’s the perfect location to put the social distancing measures into practice.

‘Everyone will be adhering to social distancing and scenes will be filmed with smaller groups.

‘The teams will be able to film in certain ways which will minimise distancing. The scripting teams are working on creating storylines with fewer characters.’

Holly’s short video appeared to be a recent day of summer fun with her sister Kelly as they flashed a smile and a cheeky pout for the camera.

The caption read: ‘Happy Birthday to my beautiful sister @ladywilloughby LOVE you to pieces… can’t wait to give you a huge squeeze when we can… have the best day… see you on Zoom!’

Holly has been forced to distance from her family during the COVID-19 lockdown, with the star also recently admitting she’s been unable to visit her newborn niece due to social distancing restrictions.

The star said she sympathised with a This Morning viewer who was upset how her parents are unable to see their grandson.

Holly said: ‘I feel your pain, I’ve got my little niece who I have not met at all.

‘I keep looking at her in photos and she’s getting bigger and I’m thinking I am never going to get that time back and you miss them so much.’

Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield call out a guest for flouting lockdown

Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield were left furious on Thursday’s This Morning after a ‘brazen’ caller revealed she was planning to flout lockdown to celebrate her birthday at her sister’s house.

The two presenters, aged 39 and 58, were left horrified during a phone-in segment with Vanessa Feltz as a viewer called ‘Emma’ revealed her ploy to break government guidelines and even stay the night at her sibling’s home.

Emma insisted that they both live alone and have no underlying illness or COVID-19 symptoms. The caller also stressed that she hasn’t seen anyone so far apart from members of the public during her visit to the shops.

Not impressed: Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield were left furious on Thursday’s This Morning after a ‘brazen’ caller revealed she was planning to flout lockdown to celebrate her birthday at her sister’s house

Britons have had to avoid meeting up with friends and families since March 16, a week before the full lockdown came in on March 23.

Yet the two presenters were left unimpressed by the caller with Holly pointing out the government guidelines of only being allowed to see one person outside your household while remaining a social distance outdoors.

While Phillip despairingly exclaimed: ‘Nothing we say is going to stop you is it? You sound like you’re going to go no matter what.’

To which an adamant Emma replied: ‘Nope!’ as she insisted that she wasn’t doing anything wrong and would still celebrate her birthday with her sister.

Emma even joked that she was more concerned about her sister serving ‘couscous’ at her birthday meal than the deadly virus, which has killed 35,704 and infected 248K people in the UK so far.

Holly and Phillip were left raising their eyebrows and shaking their heads over the caller.

Viewers were also left furious over the scenes as they took to Twitter to call out Emma’s brazen attitude to lockdown.

One person said: ‘People like Emma on @thismorning make me sick. I have been alone since lockdown began and had my birthday in April but we didn’t break the lockdown.

Former Coronation Street actress Catherine Tyldesley is reportedly being lined-up to replace Holly Willoughby on Celebrity Juice.

Holly shocked fans earlier this month after revealing she had quit the ITV2 show after 12 years.

And now bosses apparently have their eye on the actress, 36, with Catherine reportedly saying she would be ‘up for it’.

It’s said that Catherine, who is pals with the show’s host Keith Lemon, would be the ‘ideal’ replacement’ for the This Morning presenter.

A source told The Sun: ‘Cath is brilliant fun, naturally very sharp and witty, and already has chemistry with Keith as they’re pals.

‘She’s also got a girl next door appeal, much like Holly.

‘Producers have got a short list of around eight stars, and Cath is very much up. For her part, she has told pals she would be up for it.’

Catherine, who played barmaid Eva Price in Corrie, has previously made an appearance on Celebrity Juice and is therefore very aware of the hilarious goings on.

Fellow Coronation Street alumni Michelle Keegan is also in the running to join the panel.

It comes after host Keith Lemon admitted that the future of the programme is uncertain following Holly’s exit as he admitted: ‘I don’t know what the future of Celebrity Juice is at the moment.’

The comedian, 47, also revealed that he believes Holly and former captain Fearne Cotton left Celebrity Juice because they ‘grew up’.

In an interview on HELLO! magazine’s Instagram show HELLO! Let’s Gab, the presenter told how he’s been inundated with queries about who will be replacing Holly.

However, he’s still uncertain what’s next for the comedy panel show as he’s been in lots of ‘meetings’ with show bosses.

He explained: ‘Everyone keeps asking me who the new captain is but I don’t know what the future of Celebrity Juice is at the moment, it’s a lot of meetings.’

When asked if the show would definitely be coming back for another series, the star hesitated before answering.

He then said: ‘It’s a lot of meetings. I’m probably supposed to say it’s meant to come back, lead with positive words but we’ve got to get it right, the next phase has to be right I guess.’

Meanwhile Keith went on to discuss both Holly and Fearne’s departures, with the latter quitting the show in 2018.

He explained that he ‘wasn’t surprised’ by their decisions as they have both ‘grown up’.

‘It wasn’t a surprise if I’m honest,’ he said of Holly’s choice to leave.

‘She’s so busy, she’s doing This Morning, Dancing on Ice, a new show with Bradley Walsh and she has been doing Juice for 12 years and I think what happened is Holly and Fearne grew up, and I didn’t.

‘They have to go and do what they have to do as grownups but I still have fun on a Wednesday night filming Celebrity Juice.’

Meanwhile, Holly revealed that she fully intends to return to the show as a guest, in scenes from Thursday’s Celebrity Juice.

The TV presenter promised co-star Keith she would be back for ‘special occasions’ as they reflected on her time in the special episode, titled Show Us Your Best Bits.

Speaking to each other via video-link from their homes, Keith said: ‘We’ve had some fun times over the past 12 years, haven’t we?’

While Holly reminisced: ‘We really have, we’ve laughed a lot.’

Keith added that he was going to miss Holly, and she gushed: ‘I know, I’m going to miss you too… lots!’

Hoping she would return, Keith asked: ‘Will you come back on special appearances on my birthday or something like that?’

To which Holly promised: ‘Absolutely, like try and keep me away, I will be back.

‘Obviously I wont be team captain anymore because that will go to someone very very lucky but I will be back on the panel, I’ll come and play stupid games with you.’

It comes after Keith admitted that he nearly quit Celebrity Juice after he was left ‘gutted’ over Holly’s shock exit.

Keith and Holly started presenting the show alongside Fearne, who left in 2018, in 2008 – meaning Keith is the last man standing from the original lineup.

Holly Willoughby goes make-up free for a Zoom call with Emma Bunton and pals

She’s been continuing her presenting duties on This Morning as well as homeschooling her three children during the coronavirus lockdown.

So it was little wonder Holly Willoughby made the most of her time off on Friday as she enjoyed a Zoom call with Emma Bunton and other pals.

The TV star, 39, shared a snap of herself with her four friends on Instagram, with Holly looking particularly radiant as she appeared to go make-up free for the call.

The snap showed the five ladies smiling away at the camera as they caught up with each other during the virtual chat.

As well as Holly and Emma, the group also included All Saints star Nicole Appleton, PR guru Niki de Metz and Shiarra Bell, who is head of artist relations at Universal Music.

Captioning the snap, Holly wrote: ‘Oh I miss these faces so much… apart and yet totally connected… miss my girls…’

All the ladies also shared the same snap on their own respective Instagram accounts, with Spice Girl Emma captioning her snap writing: ‘Girls that do lunch but in a different way! Love you all.’

The ladies have been pals for years and regularly enjoyed fun outings before the COVID-19 pandemic swept the nation.

In December, the girls (minus Nicole and with Christine Lampard) enjoyed a Champagne-fuelled £400 lunch during a lavish vintage train experience.

Holly uploaded a snap of the event to her Instagram, with the host looking sensational as she got on board the Belmond British Pullman train and raised her glass flute in the air.

During their girls day out the women enjoyed a performance from a musical Butler who sang Do You Here The People Sing from musical Les Misérables.

They were also treated to a few songs from the Spitfire Sisters who kicked off the entertainment at London’s Victoria station and then visited the train’s carriages.

The Belmond British Pullman celebrates the ‘roaring 20s and 30s’ and each carriage has been restored so visitors can experience the glamour of vintage rail travel.

Elsewhere, Holly recently shocked fans after quitting Celebrity Juice after 12 years.

Dancing On Ice bosses ‘pumping cash into the show’ as they plan for it to return as usual in 2021

Dancing On Ice producers are powering through with plans for the 2021 series, reportedly with a mega budget lining the show’s coffers.

Despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, it seems ITV aren’t worried about production going ahead come January next year, and they have their sights set on a slew of big stars to take to the rink.

A source told The Sun: ‘It’s full steam ahead for next year’s show and casting is already well underway. The professional skaters will be meeting potential celebrity partners on the ice next month to see how they pair up.

‘It takes some time to get the celebs up to speed so they’ll spend a lot of time on the ice to make sure they’re definitely keen to go ahead. It’s only after this that they’ll be confirmed. All training will be done safely and with the teams abiding by social distancing rules.

‘ITV have taken a hit like all the broadcasters so they’re pumping cash into the show in a bid to make it a real ratings winner again. The budget for talent has been inflated so they can splash out on a couple of really big names.’

The news directly contradicts The Sun’s previous reports that producers are working on plans in case the show is cancelled after all.

The publication reported that a special programme to ‘fill the gap’ is being planned in case the global health crisis continues on into next year.

There is cause for concern following the news that Love Island will not go ahead this summer as well as rumours circulating Strictly Come Dancing’s status.

Hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield are on board with Dancing On Ice’s special edition, according to the report.

It is said to feature ‘lockdown episodes’ filmed by some favourite celebs over the years.

A source told the publication: ‘Obviously no-one knows when lockdown measures and social distancing will be fully eased – but DOI has become a fixture in the winter TV schedules.

‘It’s be a hammer blow for ITV to lose it. As such, they’ve filmed some lockdown episodes – working title: Dancing On Ice Specials – to fill that gap, should the live programmes become untenable.’

The source also revealed judges Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean will be part of the series looking back at their time on the show with never seen before footage.

The source continued: ‘The hope is that these can be screened on ITV2 as a spin-off if the main series is able to go ahead – but execs don’t want to take any chances.’

It comes after ITV bosses announced Love Island would not be returning for a summer series this year.

Kevin Lygo, Director of Television at ITV, said on Monday: ‘We have tried every which way to make Love Island this summer but logistically it’s just not possible to produce it in a way that safeguards the wellbeing of everyone involved and that for us is the priority.

‘In normal circumstances we would be preparing very soon to travel out to the location in Mallorca to get the villa ready but clearly that’s now out of the question.

‘We are very sorry for fans of the show but making it safely is our prime concern and Love Island will be back stronger than ever in 2021. In the meantime Love Island fans can still enjoy all six series of Love Island on BritBox.’

As of yet no news has been confirmed on whether Strictly Come Dancing will return however there are concerns over how the show will work with social distancing measures and restrictions on audiences.
