Sports legend looks totally unrecognisable as he steps out in coronavirus-stricken Melbourne wearing a rather alarming face mask

Fans would be forgiven for not recognising AFL legend Chris Judd as he went for a stroll in Melbourne’s south-east on Wednesday.

The retired footy star, 36, stepped out wearing a rather alarming ski mask, which covered the entire lower half of his face and neck.

While he looked ready to hit the slopes, Chris was simply doing his civic duty by covering his face in accordance with the state’s COVID-19 lockdown rules.

Is that you, Juddy? Fans would be forgiven for not recognising AFL legend Chris Judd as he went for a stroll in the Melbourne suburb of Brighton on Wednesday

The former Carlton captain seemed to be taking Melbourne’s stage-four lockdown in his stride by wearing a tongue-in-cheek slogan sweater that read ‘Isolation vacation’.

He kept well within the permitted 5km radius of his $7.3million Brighton home.

Chris, his wife, Rebecca, and their four children, Oscar, Billie, Tom and Darcy, won’t be able to stray far from their newly-renovated mansion for the next few weeks.

Melbourne is under a police-enforceable curfew of 8pm until 5am until at least September 13, as the rest of Australia returns to business as usual.

Melburnians can only leave their homes between these hours for work, care-giving, medical reasons or on compassionate grounds.

The city’s 4.9 million residents have also been banned from travelling more than 5km from home to do their shopping – and only one person from each household can leave at any time.
