Cole Sprouse gets coffee in Vancouver as Riverdale production resumes in Canada amid COVID-19 pandemic

Cole Sprouse is getting back to work.

Sprouse, 28, wore a white tank top with a red bandana around his neck and a white cloth face mask on the outing to get coffee in Vancouver, Canada on Tuesday, as he prepares to resume filming on the show Riverdale.

Sprouse, who plays the role of Jughead Jones on the TV show, had a beige jacket wrapped around his waist to adjust for weather, and wore light blue jeans with Nike sneakers.

The Arezzo, Italy-born actor’s curly dark brown locks were parted as he made his way out of the facility with a coffee in one hand and his phone in the other.

The Disney Channel alum has reunited with costars such as KJ Apa, Camila Mendes, Madeline Petsch and his ex Lili Reinhart, as the show’s production is firing up for its fifth season.

The show’s fourth season ended abruptly as production in March shutdown amid the coronavirus pandemic, but filming is slated to resume in Canada with the restrictions eased there.

The show’s run stopped with the 19th episode of its fourth season titled Killing Mr. Honey. Episodes documenting a graduation were pushed from the end of season four to lead off season five when it hits the air in January 2021, according to TV Guide.

‘Our #riverdale first table read selfie tradition is a lil different this year,’ Amick said on Instagram last week. ‘Grateful & excited to be back and can’t wait to squeeze these faces in person!!!! (bummed you can’t see everyone in the gallery grid but they’re there!).’

As of Tuesday, on a global level, 896,127 people have died amid 27,477,049 positive diagnoses worldwide, according to Johns Hopkins University. The death total for COVID-19 in the U.S. was at 189,639 people, with 6,326,696 total positive diagnoses. In Canada, 9,203 people have died amid 135,757 positive cases.
