Fans are convinced they know the name of Bindi Irwin’s unborn daughter

Fans are convinced they’ve worked out the name of Bindi Irwin and Chandler Powell’s unborn daughter – and if they’re right, it will be just perfect

Bindi Irwin and her husband, Chandler Powell, are expecting a child early next year.

And while the wildlife warriors haven’t revealed name they have in mind for their daughter, fans of the couple are convinced they’ve worked it out.

After Bindi, 22, shared a bump update on Wednesday, one of her Instagram followers set off a flurry of speculation by sharing their theory about the baby’s name.

‘I’m so happy for you!’ they commented. ‘Can I suggest a name? Stevie.’

This wouldn’t be a surprising choice given that Bindi’s late father was Steve ‘The Crocodile Hunter’ Irwin.

‘I was going to say Stephanie,’ another replied, while a third fan eagerly wrote: ‘That would be the perfect name.’

However, New Idea did report recently that Bindi was considering ‘Stevie Sue’ for a girl.

Bindi and Chandler, 23, are continuing Steve’s legacy of wildlife conservation at Australia Zoo, on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.

So it makes sense that they would name their daughter after the famous grandfather she never got to meet.

Steve died in September 2006 at the age of 44 after being pierced in the chest by a stingray barb while filming a wildlife documentary in Batt Reef, Queensland.

Bindi and Chandler tied the knot at Australia Zoo on March 25, and announced in August they were expecting their first child together.

She shared her pregnancy news via Instagram, posting a sweet photo of herself and her husband holding a tiny khaki uniform.

‘It’s an honour to share this special moment in our lives with you. Though I’m still in my first trimester, we really want you to be part of our journey from the beginning of this new life chapter,’ she told her followers.
