Maya Rudolph pulls double duty as Kamala Harris and Aunt Jemima on SNL as Alec Baldwin loses job

Maya Rudolph has left us entertained with her appearances as Kamala Harris this season on Saturday Night Live.

And the two-time Emmy winner channeled the Vice President-Elect this weekend just hours after the real Harris gave her victory speech with Joe Biden.

She pulled double duty in cameos as Harris and Aunt Jemima on Saturday’s Dave Chappelle-hosted episode, as Alec Baldwin celebrated losing his gig as lame duck President Donald Trump.

In a rare move, Chappelle returned to the main stage after the commercial break following his opening monologue, as he introduced the first skit.

He told the live studio audience: ‘It’s been a long hard time. I know a lot of people have lost their jobs. And in this climate, unfortunately a lot of Black people have lost their jobs.

‘This next piece is about just that. It’s about two Black people who’ve lost their jobs because of this new social climate we’re all trying to figure out. And sadly, these two Black people may never get those jobs back.

It then cut to Baldwin sitting at a conference table, appearing as an exec, telling an employee: ‘I’m sorry, but it’s just not working out. We have to let you go.’

It comes after Quaker announced back in June that they were changing the name and image, as it was inspired by stereotypes rooted in slavery.
