Ben Fordham shares ‘weird’ fantasy about Kylie Minogue during live radio interview with singer

Radio host Ben Fordham has confessed to having a ‘weird’ fantasy about Australian singer Kylie Minogue.

Speaking on his 2GB radio show on Monday, Ben admitted to having the bizarre dream during a live interview with the 52-year-old pop princess.

‘When locomotion first came out, we were of a similar age… and I used to lock myself in my bedroom,’ he began to tell the story. 

When the locomotion single was released, Kylie was 19, and Ben was 11.

‘I used to put the song on, and I would imagine that I was at a Kylie Minogue concert and some bad person came up on stage and tried to attack you.’

Ben, 43, then explained he pretended to ‘rescue’ the singer by jumping on the stage and tackling the intruder as a way of trying to ‘impress’ Kylie.

‘I’m not joking. I played it out in my head hundreds of times,’ he assured the singer.

‘I played both characters. I played you as Kylie singing with the hairbrush, and then I’d wait for a break in the song, and I’d play me jumping up on the stage which was my bed to tackle the pillow, which was the bad guy, and try to save you.’

A baffled Kylie had little to say about his bizarre fantasy, laughing and saying politely: ‘I have finally found my hero.’

Ben’s bizarre confession comes just hours after Kylie was forced to apologise to KIIS FM’s Kyle And Jackie O Show her early morning interview was delayed due to technical issues over Zoom.

The songstress was scheduled for a virtual interview, but when she failed to pick up the phone, Kyle Sandilands became frustrated with her publicist.

Later in the show, Kyle and Jackie received a voicemail message from Kylie apologising for her absence.

‘I’m so sorry, total user error on my part this morning,’ the Slow singer could be heard saying.

‘I thought I was hooking up with you guys at quarter past the hour, but it was actually 10 past. I was late, so I missed you on your wild morning show,’ she continued.
