Airing Monday: EastEnders’ Linda Carter and Max Branning will be seen locking lips in shocking scenes – but are witnessed by Ian Beale

The pair shared their first kiss on the pub balcony last month after he caught her drinking alcohol again and are growing closer amid Mick Carter’s battle to come to to terms with his childhood abuse by his care worker.

Linda has planned an anniversary party at home for Mick, to honour a date they had aged 12.

As Mick freaks out about the occasion, Linda takes herself to the park where she contemplates drinking.

Max runs into her there and asks her to go to the restaurant with him instead where he comforts her – and the pair share a second kiss which is witnessed by Ian.

Max recently warned Ian that he would be kicking Sharon Mitchell (Letitia Dean) out of the Queen Vic if he didn’t get his money owed to him.

Ian then gleefully informs Max he saw the pair kissing and threatens to tell the whole Square unless Max complies with his demands.

Max begins to plot his revenge against Ian as Linda returns home to Mick and partially opens up about the way he has made her feel recently.
