Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s official Christmas snap is ‘on its way’

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s official Christmas snap is ‘on its way,’ a royal correspondent has claimed.

Omid Scobie, who is the co-author of the bombshell biography Finding Freedom, which offers a window into the Sussexes’ life during their time as senior royals, has reported that an official festive photograph alongside 18-month-old Archie, is expected.

It seems the royal couple, who are currently living in their $14 million mansion in California with their son, will be carrying on the tradition despite stepping back as senior royals in March.

‘There is this forthcoming Christmas card photo,’ said London-based Omid Scobie, speaking on his royal podcast Heirpod. ‘I believe it is on its way.’

The royal correspondent-turned-author went on to say how the festive season is one to ‘indulge’ in new royal snaps.

‘We’ve got them in, we’re still waiting for the Sussexes’ card, I believe it is on its way, we obviously had a real treat last year with that really cute photo of Archie,’ he added.

It comes just days after it was revealed Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have signed a lucrative podcast deal with Spotify worth up to £30million as they took another big step towards building what experts believe could become a $1billion business empire in the US.

The couple will produce and host their own shows as part of the newly formed Archewell Audio – starting with a ‘holiday special’ that the couple hopes will ‘uplift audiences around the world’.

The Duke and Duchess of Cornwall released their official 2020 Christmas card on Wednesday, choosing a candid picture as they relaxed in the gardens of Birkhall.

Prince Charles, 71, and Camilla, 73, have spent much of the year at their Scottish residence, choosing to spend the first lockdown at their home in Aberdeenshire and returning for a summer break.

In the charming photograph, which was taken in the early autumn by a member of the royal staff, Prince Charles can be seen with his arm around Camilla as they share a laugh in the beautiful gardens.

Meanwhile, the Cambridges’ festive card shows all the family are wearing cosy winter clothes with the oldest child Prince George, seven, sitting next to his father, Prince William.

Princess Charlotte, five, is seen sitting on her mother Kate Middleton’s lap wearing a Ralph Lauren jumper, while the youngest of the clan Prince Louis, two, nestles between his parents, both 38.

The enchanting family photo showed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex laughing as they posed in front of a Christmas tree, with Archie’s cute face popping up in the foreground of the image.

The festive black and white card was shared on social media by the Queen’s Commonwealth Trust and read: ‘Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from our family to yours.’

In a tweet, the Trust said: ‘Just sharing the sweetest Christmas Card from our President and Vice-President, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Very Merry Christmas, everyone!’
