Chris Pratt accidentally confirms he will reprise his Guardians Of The Galaxy role in Thor: Love And Thunder and is flying to Australia to film the Marvel superhero crossover

Guardians Of The Galaxy star Chris Pratt has confirmed he will reprise his role of Peter Quill aka Star-Lord in the next installment of the Thor series.

The American actor, 41, was chatting to actor Tom Holland on Instagram live earlier this week when he let slip he was heading Down Under to film his scenes.

‘I’ve got Guardians coming. And I’ve got Thor. I’ll be in Thor in Australia, so I’ll be traveling to Australia in about a week,’ he said.

‘I’m excited to go a country that took the lock down very serious and eradicated the disease and now they’re fully up and back to normal,’ he said of his upcoming trip.

‘That’ll be so good there and to go to like a restaurant,’ he continued.

A surprised Tom, 24, responded: ‘Wait a minute, did you just say you’re going to be in Thor? That’s so crazy.’

‘Yeah… am I not supposed to say that?’ Chris replied, to which Tom said: ‘I feel like no one knew that bro.’

Chris then attempted to reassure himself by saying: ‘No they knew that I think, they knew that.. If they didn’t know now.’

The pair laughed off the Jurassic World star’s mishap before shortly ending the stream.

The crossover is unsurprising, especially since the last time fans saw Pratt’s charming if somewhat bumbling hero was in the end of 2019’s Avengers: Endgame on board the same spaceship as Hemsworth‘s Thor.

On the Thor front, Love And Thunder is the follow up to 2017’s massively successful third installment in the series, titled Thor: Ragnarok.

Like that film, the fourth Thor movie will be directed by Taika Waititi.

Notably, Love And Thunder will welcome back Oscar winner Natalie Portman to the franchise, who last played her role of Jane Foster in the less successful second chapter of Thor in 2013, titled Thor: The Dark World.

And in the new film, she is said to be taking on the mantle of Thor, thereby becoming the first female actor to do so.

Another Academy Award winner set to appear in Love And Thunder is Christian Bale, who is said to be cast in an as-yet undisclosed villainous role.

Thor: Love And Thunder is currently slated for release in February of 2022.
