Prince Harry’s favourite outfit? Duke rewears grey suit and brown shoes for Oprah Winfrey interview

Don’t you have another suit, Harry? Duke of Sussex wears grey jacket and trousers with brown suede shoes on repeat for everything from Archie’s first photo to bombshell Oprah Winfrey interview

  • Prince Harry, 36, wore a simple white shirt and grey suit for Oprah interview
  • The Duke of Sussex finished off the smart outfit with a pair of brown loafers
  • Appears to be a favourite for royal, having worn the outfit several times in past
  • Royal wore an identical ensemble for baby photo call and royal visit to Sussex

Prince Harry returned to an old favourite outfit as he donned his signature style grey suit with a pair of brown desert boots for the Oprah Winfrey interview.

The Duke of Sussex, 39, says that leaving the Royal Family was ‘unbelievably tough’ and Oprah claims the couple both say ‘some pretty shocking things’ in the bombshell interview that is expected to upset the Queen, Prince Charles and Prince William when the show is broadcast on Sunday, March 7.

The father-of-one wore a smart white long-sleeve shirt with a grey suit jacket and matching trousers from J.Crew believed to cost £460 and finished off the outfit with a pair of tan lace-up shoes.

The royal has worn a similar style of shirt on a multitude of occasions in the past few years, including to introduce baby Archie to the world in May 2019 and for a visit to Sussex in October 2018.

The Duke is fast-making the combination his signature style, having worn it on more than six other royal occasions.

He has worn the outfit on a whole host of occasion in the past 18 months, initially wearing the combination  for an official visit with the Duchess to Sussex in October 2018.

He opted for the outfit again during his tour of Morocco in February 2019, wearing the grey combination as he and Meghan touched down at Casablanca airport.

Months  later, the royal donned the same suit and shoes with an almost identical pair of brown shoes with purple laces, to introduce his son Archie to the world in May 2019.

In June 2019, he wore the same outfit for a third time, this time adding a light pink tie, as he joined a Commonwealth Youth roundtable.

Meanwhile he also opted for the fail-safe ensemble as he attended The Diana Award National Youth Mentoring Summit at Banking Hall in London.

While Prince Harry has repeated this uniform for a host of royal appearances over the year, his wife Meghan has rarely been snapped in the same outfit twice.

In the clips released last night, Meghan placed a hand on her bump while fielding questions from 67-year-old TV mogul Oprah – who asked her about her brief time as a royal, and her decision to quit palace life with her husband last year.

Meghan says nothing in either of the short teaser clips that have been released, however Oprah’s line of questioning makes clear the sensitive topics that will be covered – some, if not all of which will likely send fears through the palace over what potentially-uncomfortable revelations may come to light during the primetime sit-down.

In what could be seen as a warning to the royal family, Oprah reminds viewers that ‘there is no subject that is off limits’ while sitting opposite the former Suits star, who simply nods her head in agreement with the bold statement.

Oprah then asks a somber-looking Meghan: ‘Were you silent or were you silenced?’ in what appears to be another jab at the royal family – this time over the palace’s treatment of the Duchess.

Later in the interview, Oprah refers to comments Meghan appears to have made about life in the royal family being ‘almost un-survivable.’

Although Meghan says nothing during the two teaser clips that have been released, the videos are likely to prompt fresh fears within Buckingham Palace about what revelations she may bring to light during the interview, particularly when it comes to her experiences of life within the royal family.
