A year has passed since Grey’s Anatomy star Kate Walsh arrived in Australia for what was supposed to be a ‘short holiday’.

But after the Covid-19 pandemic caused her trip to be extended indefinitely, it seems the American actress, 53, has embraced the idea of staying Down Under for good.

She couldn’t wipe the smile off her face as she left a Pilates class in Perth on Tuesday, and looked effortlessly stylish in a white jacket and shorts.

Kate tied her brunette hair up in a scruffy bun as she emerged from the studio, but later let it down when she put on a pair of sunglasses.

The star, who is also known for her roles in Private Practice and 13 Reasons Why, also went makeup free, drawing attention to her ageless features.

Kate has previously spoken about her love of Pilates, and how she partners Pilates sessions with hot yoga, long walks and weight training to maintain her figure.

Interestingly, Kate’s old $4.25 million LA mansion in Encino had a guest house converted into a personal Pilates studio.

Kate has appeared on a number of popular TV shows including Grey’s Anatomy and its spin off Private Practice.

‘If they could get it done, I’d be happy to come back.. Maybe I’ll Zoom in. Dr. Addison Montgomery could Zoom in,’ Kate told PEOPLE this week that she would ‘absolutely’ reprise her role on Grey’s Anatomy if given the chance.

Kate found herself ‘stuck’ in Australia in March 2020 when the coronavirus was declared a global pandemic by The World Health Organization (WHO).

‘I didn’t really want to go back to New York in the middle of a pandemic when it was pretty gnarly to say the least,’ she told Sydney’s Daily Telegraph in August 2020.

‘I couldn’t go home initially, and now that I can, I don’t really fancy going back.’

In late 2020, she hinted her move to Australia was becoming a more permanent one by relocating her pet animals to be flown into the country.
