A fitness trainer has been branded ‘arrogant’ and ‘judgmental’ after shaming other people her age for eating fast food, watching Netflix and ‘living day by day’ – while gloating that she has started her own business and goes to the gym daily.
Mackenzie Smith, 23, from Phoenix, Arizona, claims to be able to teach people how to live happy lives through her fitness regimes.
On Sunday, she shared a damning assessment of ‘most’ of her peers to her 18,000 Twitter followers .
She bragged that she was ‘not the same’ as others her age, as she was running her own business and developing a growth mindset while they simply ‘partied every weekend’.

However the fitness fan was soon slammed for her ‘egotistical’ attitude as the tweet went viral and attracted thousands of responses – many claiming her methods as ‘bullying’ to others.
Social media users suggested she was ‘knocking others down to build herself up’ and pointed out there were accomplishments other than being in the gym.
Unrepentant despite the backlash, Mackenzie claimed she was used to taking ‘heat’ for her posts but insisted she only shared the post to ‘inspire and help others’.
‘I’ve taken heat for my tweets before so this is nothing new to me,’ she said.
‘I specifically word tweets like this one to be polarizing. It grabs people’s attention and helps connect me with others who think the same way.
‘Ultimately, I’m secure in what I’m doing because I know my intent.

‘The only reason I’m posting content is to provide value, inspire, and help others. That’s the end goal.
‘People will always interpret content to fit their own perspective on the world.
‘If they choose to be offended and lash out, so be it. That just means my content wasn’t intended for them.’
The tweet quickly went viral and racked up more than 7,500 retweets, likes and replies.
Mackenzie’s original tweet read: ‘Most 23 year olds: partying every weekend, eating fast food, binge watching Netflix, living day by day.

Mackenzie, pictured taking a selfie in the gym, said that she works out everyday and can’t understand why others her age don’t
‘Me: starting my own business, optimizing my health, learning new skills, developing a growth mindset, at the gym everyday.
‘We are not the same.’
Thousands of people responded to the tweet with their own thoughts, most of which appearing to take offence at her choice of words.
One Twitter user wrote: ‘Knocking others down to build yourself up? Perhaps work a little on that growth mindset.’
‘See you’ve also developed your mindset to being a cow,’ added another.
‘Imagine being 23, the age when you’re probably most free in terms of lack of responsibility combined with disposable income, and not enjoying yourself,’ said a third.
Thousands of people responded to the tweet with their own thoughts, most of which appearing to take offence at her choice of words.
A fourth penned: ‘It’s not some great achievement to be grinding 24/7 at a time when it’s totally acceptable to relax and enjoy yourself.’
Mackenzie’s reference to partying did not go unnoticed, either, with one writing: ‘Babe we’re over a year into a global pandemic. Who the f**k is partying every weekend at this point.’
Another user tweeted: ‘I swear the only people that talk like this is pyramid scheme idiots.’
One respondent added: ‘I can’t wait for these tragic people to hit 60 and be in the same jobs as the rest of us and realize they wasted their 20s.
‘So egotistical, so judgement, so arrogant.’
