Despite the lockdown, many Sydneysiders are still using the roads to travel for essential work, but they are being recommended to avoid doing so until safe.

‘All Sydney ferry services are not running due to heavy fog. Make alternative travel arrangements,’ Sydney Ferries said on Wednesday morning.

The impacted services include Manly, Mosman, Neutral Bay, Taronga Zoo, Parramatta River, Pyrmont, Double Bay, Cockatoo Island and Watsons Bay.

The boats have been replaced by buses which run from Manly and Circular Quay.

The dangerous conditions extend from far western Sydney all the way to the eastern beaches.
