Below Deck Mediterranean star Malia White is hospitalized in the wake of Spain scooter accident
Malia White took to Instagram Wednesday after she was involved in a scooter accident in Mallorca, Spain that left her hospitalized with a fractured elbow, broken toes and a rash.
The Below Deck Mediterranean star, 30, posted pics in which she was bandaged with gauze while in a hospital bed after she suffered multiple injuries after she fell off of a scooter while on a day off with her shipmates.
‘Accidents happen when you least expect them,’ she said. ‘Luckily, I was able to walk away with a few stitches, fractured elbow, broken toes, severe road rash and a very sore body.

‘I don’t want to imagine what the case would have been without my helmet! I won’t hang up my scooter keys just yet… but I’m definitely aware of the importance of cruising safely!’
She initially wrote, ‘BEFORE PHOTO: had an amazing day exploring the island of Mallorca with my crew mates by scooter! But it didn’t end as nicely as it started….. #mallorca #spain #adventure #daysoff.’
White, a bosun on the ship, captioned the shot, ‘AFTER: on Instagram we usually share the pretty stuff but this is the important stuff- I’m sharing this to express the importance of always wearing a helmet. Mine quite literally saved my life.’
The Fort Lauderdale, Florida native explained the circumstances that led to her hospital stint.

The Bravo beauty said she was ‘thankful’ for her crew colleagues in their quick reaction to the dangerous mishap
‘I spent the premiere night in a hospital bed after having a mean accident on my scooter,’ White said. ‘I’ve been riding scooters my whole life was familiar with the equipment, wasn’t drinking and was 10 minutes from my boat.’
The Bravo beauty, in an Instagram Stories post, said she was ‘thankful’ for her crew colleagues in their quick reaction to the dangerous mishap.
‘They flagged down a car who happened to be an off-duty police officer and he started giving me medical attention until the ambulance arrived,’ she said. ‘They also took care of getting all my stuff & scooter sorted!’
Among White’s nautical peers who chimed in with words of support included Daisy Kelliher, Bugsy Drake and Bobby Giancola.
