Married At First Sight UK viewers have shared their disbelief after contestant Marilyse decided to leave the experiment with her partner Franky on tonight’s episode.
Personal trainer Marilyse Corrigan, 37, from Beverly, Yorkshire, wed military man and fellow fitness fanatic Franky, 47, on the current series of the E4 show.
And to the shock of fans, mother-of-two Marilyse decided to stay with her Dubai-based husband, who has been dubbed ‘controlling’ by viewers, after the programme ends.

In her renewal vows, Marilyse said: ‘Looking back to when I first met you on our wedding day, it’s one of the best days I’ve ever had…
‘I saw you fight through criticism through others. But from day one you showed me the real Franky and that’s all I cared about.
‘I really don’t want to hurt you, but we have had a few struggles mid-way that did make me question our relationship. I didn’t know if we were right for each other but I do want you to be a world, so let’s take each day as it comes.’
But Twitter users were left gobsmacked by the contestant’s decision and took to the social media platform to share their shock.
One viewer wrote: ‘Marylise just mugged herself right off,’ while a second said: ‘Marilyse. What. Have. You. Done.’

When waiting for their vow renewal, Franky admitted: ‘In my life I’ve done some pretty challenging things, and I have gotten to the end but I didn’t know it would’ve been as tough as it’s been.
‘I’m definitely ready for a loving relationship, ready for love. Ready to give everything in that department.
‘I really didn’t think I would think this much of someone again over a short space of time. No risk, no return and I really like Marilyse a lot. It feels right, you know?’
Marilyse said: ‘I do feel like there’s a lot of weight on my shoulders from the moves Franky is making. So this decision is really important to me, it is going to affect my life and my future.

It comes after Married At First Sight UK fans were left astonished when Franky ‘offended’ his wife, Marilyse, a mother-of-two, as he told her his ideal match ‘wouldn’t have kids’ earlier this week.
In their last date the couple discussed the partners they had been expecting to be matched with by the experts, who paired up strangers they believed would form a successful marriage.
To the shock of Marilyse, who has two teenage children, Franky admitted he didn’t want his future wife to have any offspring – leaving viewers stunned at his candidness.

Marilyse expressed her concerns that she can’t uproot her life and move to Dubai, where Franky has lived for 16 years.
She admitted: ‘I hope I haven’t disappointed you that I do have children and that I can’t move to Dubai
Franky said: ‘Everybody in life says ideally this and ideally that. I also said ideally maybe she doesn’t have kids.’
Marilyse was visibly taken aback by Franky’s remarks, and privately told the camera: ‘To be honest with you, I was offended because I have got children and I don’t want that to be a problem.’
She continued: ‘I don’t like to waste time. Maybe we’re not meant to be. Maybe this isn’t right for me.’
