Customers can expect a dining experience like never before at a new pop-up restaurant called ‘Karen’s Diner’ – complete with rude waitresses and a bad service.

The venue has opened its doors at World Square in Sydney offering a ‘great’ menu with American-style burgers – including ‘The Basic Karen’, ‘Karen’s Got Real Beef’, ‘The “I Want To See The Manager” Karen’, and ‘Vegan Karen’.

‘Karen’ has become a viral term referencing a privileged middle-class white woman who complains about everything.

The unique burger joint plays on this stereotype, encouraging guests to bring out their ‘inner Karen’ by ‘complaining until the cows come home’ and demanding to ‘speak to the manager’.

‘At Karen’s you will be greeted and waited upon by rude waiters who in return are expecting you to give it full Karen,’ the website read.

‘Our staff are rude, our manners are non existent and we’re the perfect place for Karen’s everywhere to vent their anger and dismay at the world. Come on, ask for the manager… We dare you.’ 

If your name is actually Karen, you will be treated to free drinks.

The burgers are made in-house from some of the finest chefs – and are all served with shoestring fries or sweet potato fries if you upgrade.

Diners can choose from wagyu beef, smokey BBQ beef brisket, grilled or deep fried chicken or plant based smashed patty or schnitzel.

Finish off your meal with a dessert, including ‘Karen’s Churros Ice Cream Sundae’ or ‘Karen’s Waffle’ which comes with fruit and ice cream with a side of maple syrup.

To book a table, customers are required to buy tickets online, with prices ranging from $10 to $15.90, which includes a house cocktail.

Karen’s Diner will run until Friday, December 31.
