With Christmas now less than two months away, an organised mum has started using Woolworths paper bags to wrap presents for her kids.

Marnie, from New South Wales, shared the idea to a popular Facebook group and revealed she kept the 20c grocery bags after receiving her click and collect orders.

The idea is not only environmentally friendly but would save parents money on fancy wrapping paper.

‘I found a use for all the paper bags I get from Woolies click & collect! I’ll add a red ribbon and they’ll look schmick,’ Marnie wrote and shared images to show how she reused the bag to wrap the present.

First she carefully detached the bag from itself and lay it flat.

She wrapped the gift using the inside part of the bag to ensure the Woolworths logo and branding was hidden.

One bag was enough to wrap the small present, but more than one paper bag would be required for larger gifts.

The Facebook post quickly caught the attention of other parents who praised the clever idea and seemed eager to try it themselves.

‘Love this!! I have heaps of these paper bags, I’m stealing this one,’ one woman wrote.

‘I tried this and even got my daughter to paint it,’ another added.

Others dubbed the hack as ‘genius’.

Last year a Melbourne mum revealed how you can ‘wrap your Christmas presents like a pro’, whether they are regular or irregular shaped.

The Australian woman called Chantel Mila shared two videos showing how you can wrap your festive gifts, and millions said they will be trying her tricks this Christmas.

‘Add a touch of cheer this year,’ Mila captioned one of the clips that shows how she wraps an iPhone and how you can perfectly wrap any square or rectangular gift.

To wrap a regular-shaped gift, Chantel first said you should get your hands on some wrapping paper, ideally some plain brown paper as it looks stylish.

Then, measure the paper so that it covers the top of the gift, halfway up the bottom and across the sides.

Push the sides inwards to create two triangles, fold one triangle across and then repeat on the opposite side.

Finally, fold the second triangles over the first set and secure the base of the gift with a flower or sticker to make it look pretty.

How do you wrap an irregular-shaped gift?

1. Fold your wrapping paper into a trifold and tape it.

2. Fold the bottom upwards, create a diamond and fold the bottom and top inwards.

3. Tape it together.

4. Place your present inside the container and seal the top.

5. Add a ribbon for decoration.
