Early morning users of Facebook Messenger in Australia are reporting the app is down on Thursday.
There were more than 200 reports to Down Detector before 6am indicating that the messaging service wasn’t working.
The biggest problems being reported by Facebook users are sending messages and with the Facebook app.
Almost 350 complaints were lodged about Facebook Messenger on Down Detector between 5am-6am on Thursday.

Instagram users are also reporting outages with 285 reports lodged since 4am.
‘Wtf is going on this time?’ one user wrote.
Another tweeted: I absolutely love it when Facebook goes down when I’m in the middle of work and messaging people about work. It’s just so great.’
The outage is worldwide impacting the US, UK and many European nations.
It is not clear why the services are down and when they will be up and running.
