A blue lace garter corset top from Australian retailer, Glassons, has been flying off the shelves online and in stores across the country.

At only $39.99, dozens of Instagram users are asking the retailer to restock it after the garment took social media by storm.

The lacy garter-style corset also comes in black and white – which are now also now sold out – but the cobalt blue was the first to be snapped up by shoppers.

Made from lacy material featuring figure-hugging boning and lace up back detail, the top went viral after women started posting themselves wearing it on Instagram and TikTok. 

The top has already been restocked twice this year but according to Glassons’ Instagram page it will be available again in Australia at the end of December.

One video was taken from inside a Glassons store as women clambered to snag one of the tops leaving racks empty in seconds.  

‘I was working there and wearing the blue corset, there were so many people asking,’ one commenter wrote.  

Another video showed a huge line of shoppers outside a Melbourne Glassons store before retailers were set to open after the city’s long lockdown.

‘It’s for that blue corset they’re raving about,’ one woman wrote.

One TikTokker found the $39.99 top being resold on online fashion marketplace, Depop, for $150.  

One user commented she was going to buy it off the seller before they were offered  more than three times its original price by another interested buyer.
