Olympic medallist Frazer Clarke has signed an agreement with Anthony Joshua’s management company ahead of his entrance into professional boxing next year.

The 30-year-old, who won super-heavyweight bronze at the Tokyo Games in the summer, has joined the stable at 258 MGT, which was founded by his former Team GB sparring partner Joshua.

Clarke had initially eyed a professional debut in December but those plans have drifted into the new year as he builds his team.

Conversations are ongoing around promotional and broadcasting agreements.

He said: ‘I’m super excited to be joining the 258 MGT team, they have a lot of great boxers, all winners and I hope to add to the success of the team moving forward.

‘I can’t wait to get started in the pro ranks and with the help of 258 I know I will become world champion. It’s going to be an exciting journey and hopefully everyone can get behind me.’
