  • The 107-square-foot space will be available for one tenant until January 15 2023
  • The small room comes with shelf space, a kitchenette and a washing machine

Only one of the 107-square-foot rooms will be available as part of a marketing gimmick for the Swedish furniture giant and it is located in Tokyo’s nightlife-heavy Shinjuku district.

The company’s website boasts that the tiny apartment’s key lies in optimising ‘vertical space’ to ‘open up possibilities of a small room’

In February 2020, most of the 1,200 of the dwellings were being rented out, SoraNews24 reports and the popularity doesn’t appear to be waning.
