Adele admits son Angelo, 9, will ‘probably go through stages of hating’ her song My Little Love after writing the tune about him
Adele has candidly admitted that her son Angelo will ‘probably go through the stages of hating’ her song My Little Love which she wrote about him.
The song features on her latest album 30, and she spoke with Canadian musician Tom Power about how the heartfelt track.
The singer, 33, said: ‘He’ll probably go through stages of hating it when he’s a teenager but it was an important part of the puzzle I was trying to figure out of my life — not the album — so I had to include it.’

Adele, whose album details her divorce from Angelo’s father Simon Konecki, added she wanted ‘to be clear with him and just be honest with him, because a lot of parents hide things from their kids, as we should, in most cases.’
The lyrics include lines such as: ‘Mummy’s been having a lot of big feelings recently […] And I feel like I don’t really know what I’m doing.’
She said: ‘Imagine hearing that as a six-year-old. “What do you mean you don’t know what you’re doing?” You panic, and your whole world would implode.
‘I couldn’t hide from him. He could see me even clearer if I tried to hide from him.’
Adele also confirmed making the album cleared things for her mentally and said: ‘It sorted out some of the clutter that was going on in my ability to talk about how I was feeling.’

The Easy On Me hitmaker recently performed at the Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles which marked the first time that she had performed in front of her son.
She said on stage: ‘It’s the absolute honour of my life, baby, to have you here tonight.’
It comes after Adele was seen enjoying an American football game with Rich watching the Kansas City Chiefs Chiefs score a 34-28 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers, in Inglewood, California.
She held hands with Rich, 40, as the cameras spotted them in a VIP suite where rapper Jay-Z was also pictured.
Earlier this month, the Someone Like You songstress congratulated Rich Paul on his latest career venture, after he launched his own footwear and apparel collaboration with New Balance.
The star modeled his spruced up version of the New Balance 550 from the comfort of a plush floral couch and celebrated the December 10 launch.
Making sure all eyes were on the sneakers, she only showed her feet and legs in the images, she wrote ‘congratulations @richpaul.’
