TV presenter and fashion stylist Jules Sebastian has shared how to make a Christmas wreath savoury platter and a candy cane shaped tomato salad perfect for any festive feast

‘You may remember last year I did a beautiful dessert wreath, now hold on to your Christmas hats because this time I’m taking it savoury,’ Jules said in the clip.

She starts by making two salami rosettes and places them on a round wooden board.

Jules adds basil pesto and roasted capsicum dips, marinated olives, cherries, and chopped up camembert, quince paste and prosciutto arranging everything near the edge of the board to create a wreath-like circle.

How to make a salami rosette

1. Place a slice of salami over the rim of a wine glass. You’ll want the middle of the salami to be touching the rim of the wine glass. Place each piece firmly against the glass

2. Next, take another piece of salami and overlap it on the first piece of salami. You’ll want the salami spread out, but still touching

3. Repeat the overlapping of meat around the rim of your wine glass bringing each layer closer together so the salami is wrapped tightly and won’t fall apart

4. Place the glass, salami side down, on your platter, and remove the glass from the salami

For her tomato salad, Jules sliced up fresh tomatoes and halved balls of bocconcini then layered them across a wooden board in the shape of a Christmas candy cane.

She then adds two basil leaves between each layer and drizzles the tomato and cheese with olive oil.

To finish she sprinkle salt and cracked black pepper over the top and serves with a small dish of balsamic vinegar on a bed of basil leaves.

The platters attracted a lot of attention on social media with many praising Jules’ clever ideas.

‘This is perfect for Xmas Eve!’ one woman wrote.
