The 44-year-old driver was taken to St George Hospital with suspected chest injuries, where he remains but his passenger was not injured.

Police, surf lifesavers and paramedics searched for the third man, believed to be in his 30s, for about an hour on Friday, before pausing their efforts due to poor light.

The search recommenced on Saturday at 7am with assistance from the Police Divers.

The man’s body was located at about 10.40am in the vicinity of Shiprock Reserve, Dolans Bay.

While the body is yet to be formally identified, it is believed to be that of the missing jet skier.

Officers from the Marine Area Command are continuing to conduct inquiries into the incident and will now prepare a report for the information of the Coroner.
