Phillip Schofield confirms Holly Willoughby will be absent from This Morning for two weeks

‘Where is she?’ Holly Willoughby’s absence from This Morning confuses viewers as Phillip Schofield confirms she’ll be missing for two weeks

This Morning viewers were left wondering where Holly Willoughby was on Monday after the presenter was replaced on air by Rochelle Humes.

Holly’s co-host Phillip Schofield was quick to explain that Holly, 40, will be missing for two weeks as she films Wim ‘Iceman’ Hof’s Superstar Survival with Lee Mack.

Rochelle, 32, explained: ‘I’ve come here to hang out and keep her seat warm’ as Phillip, 59, revealed the Saturdays star will fill in for Holly for the entire fortnight.

‘Very busy show for you today. Rochelle is here, as you can see, keeping Holly’s seat warm,’ explained Phillip.

‘She’s off with the iceman. She’s making a show away at the moment. She’s off for two weeks,’ he added.

Although Holly won’t be back on the This Morning sofa until February, she will fly in from Southern Europe – where Superstar Survival is filmed – every weekend to present Dancing On Ice alongside Phillip.

The Sun confirmed earlier in January that Holly had been granted two and a half weeks off from This Morning to co-host a new BBC show.

Back in 2018, Holly stepped in for Ant McPartlin on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! after he took a break to receive help for alcohol and substance addiction.

Referring to that fill-in, a source told The Sun: ‘Holly loved I’m A Celeb so much it gave her the confidence to strike out on her own and do more mainstream solo TV projects.

‘She has high career ambitions and is starting the year as she means to go on.

‘However, she absolutely loves This Morning and her on-screen partnership with Phillip, so isn’t going anywhere long-term.

‘She’s just grateful ITV bosses are giving her the freedom to do her own projects.’

MailOnline contacted representatives for This Morning and Holly for comment at the time.
