Kmart has divided opinion with the launch of its $13 Wooden Vlogger Playset, with some parents calling it inventive and others saying it will force our children to grow up too quickly.

The playset has been designed to keep up with kids who dream of ‘vlogging’ – or video blogging – like their idols on YouTube, which is now considered a worthy occupation. 

The six-piece set comes with a canvas draw-string backpack, a mobile phone, a camera, selfie stick, ring light and tripod.

‘Little ones will love to pretend taking pictures, photos and making video with this wooden vlogger set,’ the Kmart product description reads.  

When the product was recently announced Australian parents immediately took to Instagram to share their thoughts on the Kmart playset.

Many shared that the playset is a fun idea for children who dream of becoming vloggers themselves one day.

‘Love it haha! My daughter dreams of being a vlogger and would have such a blast playing with that set,’ one mum commented.  

‘The wooden vlogger playset is amazing, well done Kmart,’ another woman wrote.  

Although some parents were unimpressed by the ‘cringe’ playset and said that it will make their children grow up too fast.

‘Seriously you want your toddler to start acting like an Instagram star! What about mud pies and sandcastles? This is what’s wrong with the world,’ a mum wrote.

‘Not impressed with this Kmart attempt! The vlogger set will give children the wrong idea at such young ages,’ another wrote.
