Uber driver details how she picked up the man she was dating while he was with another woman

An Uber driver has detailed how she got a ride request from the man she was dating and another woman, saying he didn’t speak a word to her the entire time.

Jen Worden, 25, from Pennsylvania, went viral on TikTok last week after she shared a video of herself re-enacting the moment she realized she had picked up her Hinge date while he was out with someone else.

‘When you decide to stay in on a Friday, drive for Uber and your man gets in the backseat with another girl,’ she wrote, insisting in the caption that ‘this actually happened.’

The TikTok has been viewed more than 3.2 million times, and many commenters admitted they would have lost it if they were in her situation.

‘I would never recover,’ one person shared, while someone else added: ‘This would be my villain origin story.’

‘This would’ve been my 13th reason to never trust a man again,’ another agreed.

Some insisted it was divine intervention, saying she had dodged a bullet, while others who wanted to know what had happened begged her for a ‘story time.’

Jen filmed a series of follow-up videos, explaining that she had met the guy on Hinge and ‘things were going well’ up until that point. However, she noted that they were ‘not dating’ exclusively.

She recalled how had invited her to a birthday party where she was introduced to his entire friend group — including the woman he ordered an Uber with — but she didn’t put two and two together at the time.

When she had asked him what he was doing last weekend, he told her he was going to a Pittsburgh Penguins game with a buddy on Friday night but was free on Saturday.

‘So I am out driving on Friday and I get an Uber request from a girl, no big deal,’ she explained. ‘I go and pick her up. She gets in the backseat of my car on the passenger side. I looked over and she looked familiar, but I didn’t know her name.’

Jen said she wasn’t sure if she knew her because they were all wearing masks, so she didn’t say anything. When the guy got in the backseat behind her, she didn’t think anything of it, but then they started talking about their friends whom she had met.

‘I look in the rearview mirror, and we make eye contact and that’s when we both know. I knew it was him. He knew it was me,’ she recalled, saying he didn’t say anything to her the entire car ride.

‘I am like, wait, what’s happening right now?’ I drop them off at the arena and within five minutes he calls me and he’s like, “Hey, I’m really sorry. I knew that was you. I should have said something, but I just didn’t. I was in shock.”‘

Jen admitted that she was still trying to figure out if he and the woman were friends or on a date and didn’t know what to say either.

Jen's date insisted he was just out with a friend that night, but she later learned they were involved when she ran into the other woman at a local bar

Jen’s date insisted he was just out with a friend that night, but she later learned they were involved when she ran into the other woman at a local bar

‘At this point, 90 percent of me thought they were just friends, and it was just a misunderstanding, a crazy coincidence,’ she said. ‘But there was 10 percent of me  — a small percent — that was like are they on a date right now?’

‘And the reason I thought that was because, when I had met his friend group, he had mentioned there was a girl in the group he used to have a thing with, but they weren’t a thing anymore.’

When the guy called her on Saturday, he assured her that the woman he was with was just a friend and denied that she was the person he used to be involved with.

‘I straight up asked, “Was this the girl that you had a thing with?”‘ she explained. ‘And he said, “No, that wasn’t her.” I said, “OK.”‘

On Sunday, Jen was at a local bar with two of her friends rehashing what had happened after the awkward Uber ride. At this point, her TikTok about the situation had gone viral.

The bartender told her that she was friends with the other woman, saying she was at the bar at that very moment.

Jen texted the guy and had him to the bar to talk to her one on one (pictured). 'At that point, he came clean, and there was really nothing else to say,' she said

In her final video about the encounter, she said the guy ended up picking up her $230 bar tab and tipped $100, which was 'really nice'

‘I’m like no f**king way she’s here right now,’ Jen recalled. ‘And, so, I am like I should talk to her? We should talk it out, you know? Because she probably already saw the TikTok.’

She explained to the bartender that she didn’t want to overreact because she knew the guy she was seeing was just friends with her. That’s when the bartender told her that the relationship was definitely not platonic.

The woman eventually came over to talk to Jen, and she confirmed that she was ‘the girl he had a thing with.’

Jen texted the guy and had him to the bar with both of them there before pulling him over to a side table to talk.

‘At that point, he came clean, and there was really nothing else to say,’ she said, but she didn’t seem to have any hard feelings.

In another video, she noted that he picked up their entire bar tab, saying it was a $230 bill because they were there all day.

‘He tipped $100, so that was really nice,’ she added.
