An Irish nun divided opinion on TikTok after she was filmed dancing extremely enthusiastically to a busker singing a hymn.
The nun was in raptures over the singer’s rendition of the hymn He Will Hold Me Fast, which he performed to a musical track on O’Connell Street in Dublin.
The video, which has been viewed more than 2,000 times, starts with the nun lying face down on the ground moving her legs up and down as the busker, who was not named, sings just feet away.

TikTok commentators praised the nun for her enthusiasm, with one saying they ‘wanted what the nun is having’
Then, with a huge smile on her face, she leaps up and claps, shouting ‘come on’, and ‘yes, yes, yes, yes!’.
She skips around in a circle in front of the singer, as bemused passers-by watch her pump her fists, while shouting: ‘Jesus! Jesus! Come on!’
The video, which garnered more than 200 comments, split opinion, with some praising the nun’s unbridled enthusiasm.
One wrote: ‘She’s there every day I want to know so much but do not want to ever interact either.’
Another added: ‘Great to see such enthusiasm.’
Some commentators on TikTok took a dim view of the nun’s dancing antics, with some saying her level of commitment can turn people away from religion
And a third simply wrote: ‘I want what the nun is having…’
However others were concerned for the nun or found her behaviour off-putting.
Some suggested they were worried about the woman’s behaviour.
One wrote: ‘Something not quite right there.’
A second commentator agreed, adding: ‘Religious fanatic….in a frenzy. She should be hospitalized.’
And a third said: ‘These things just turn believers away from churches.’
