The jewelry designer who created an intimate bracelet that A$AP Rocky gave to Rihanna has revealed the special meaning behind each of its charms – including one which may include a hint at her baby’s due date.
The singer, 34, has been spotted rocking the special piece of jewelry numerous times over the last few weeks – having been gifted the pricey accessory her by longtime boyfriend A$AP, 33, back in February.
The Umbrella songstress first announced that she and the rapper were expecting their first child together back in January, and although she has yet to confirm the baby’s due date, she revealed to Elle Magazine last month that she was in her third trimester.
And now, her boyfriend’s sweet gift has given a major clue into Rihanna’s due date, after it was revealed that he specifically picked out a May birthstone locket to include in the array of charms.

The bracelet, which was created by Annoushka Fine Jewelry and costs $50,000, is made from 18-carat gold and contains 10 charms in total – each one specifically picked out by her beau

Some of the charms include a tulip to symbolize new life, a mermaid to represent fertility, and an emerald love locket – which is the birthstone for May – leading many people to speculate that their baby is going to be born that month.

It also has a malachite four leaf clover charm which is said to bring luck, a bluebird charm which represents happiness and contains 153 stones including blue topaz, sapphire, and black diamond, and a mushroom charm made from rubies and sapphires which was inspired by Alice and Wonderland and signifies energy.
Other charms on the extravagant bracelet include an evil eye which is said to offer protection, a white diamond compass (which really works) to help bring a sense of direction, a rose which contains over 100 pink sapphires and reflects beauty, and an envelope for love – which has the letters SWALK engraved on it, standing for ‘sealed with a lovely kiss.’
According to Annoushka Fine Jewelry creative director Annoushka Ducas, A$AP wanted to know what each charm signified before he carefully picked out the ones that he felt were important to him and Rihanna.
‘A$AP was very keen to know the meanings behind each charm and chose them based on these,’ she explained.

‘All the charms were chosen to represent something very imbued with love and happiness and seem significant for the new chapter they are heading into together.
‘He made a point of placing the charms in a particular order and asked for them to be attached in exactly this way, the order definitely had significance.’
She added that the expecting father was ‘very keen’ on pieces with green stones.
‘Charms are the ultimate way of telling a story through your jewelry, they can be collected and cherished through life and then passed on to the next generation,’ she continued.
‘I love that these 10 charms were chosen for personal reasons and gifted to Rhianna, on the cusp of her becoming a mother – I hope they will become special family heirlooms for her children.’

A$AP purchased the expensive piece of jewelry in London on the day before Rihanna’s 34th birthday – which took place on February 20 – although, it’s unclear whether or not it was a birthday gift.

Rihanna, who is often photographed showing off her growing baby bump, has stayed tight-lipped on the details of her pregnancy – including the baby’s due date and gender – however, many fans are convinced that she is expecting a baby girl.
She was caught looking at female clothes at a Target in Los Angeles, California, on March 15, with onlookers witnessing the brunette beauty placing a small orange dress in her shopping cart.
According to Target.com, the Cat & Jack dress that caught Rihanna’s eye retails for just $18.
In February, Rihanna told Extra that despite feeling ‘tired at times,’ she was doing ‘really great.’
‘Tired at times, on and off, which I am not used to,’ she admitted, when asked how she was holding up during the pregnancy at an event in LA.
