Harry Kane has begun his journey to Germany ahead of a £100million move to Bayern Munich.

The England captain is flying from London Stansted, where he arrived earlier this afternoon, ahead of flying to Bavaria to sign a four-year deal with Thomas Tuchel’s side worth in the region of £400,000-per-week.

News of Kane’s imminent flight arrives after a day of of chaos amid claims from well-placed sources that Tottenham were trying to re-negotiate finer parts of their agreement with Bayern and Kane.

Mail Sport understands that Kane was originally due to arrive in Munich at around 10am but was told he could not fly as Spurs and Bayern continued negotiating.

The flight was rescheduled to depart at around noon, but the flight has been delayed even further. Current estimates suggest he should land at just after 6pm UK time.

But it is understood those early morning issues have now been concluded with Kane heading to Munich to complete a medical ahead of signing his contract at Bayern.

We reported on Thursday night that Bayern were hopeful of concluding their swoop for Kane following a night of crucial talks.

Bayern had agreed a £100m deal for Kane but were left waiting to complete the historic transfer amid concern at the German club that the deal was stalling.

Talks between Bayern, Tottenham and Kane were taking place late into Thursday amid growing optimism from the Bundesliga club that the striker was still keen to join.

The German giants have openly courted Kane for weeks having been assured, privately, that the 30-year-old would move to Bavaria.

However, after reaching a deal in principle with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy, the Bundesliga club still hadn’t received the final green light to complete the mega swoop on Thursday evening amid a number of contractual and financial points that needed concluding.

But following positive talks late on Thursday, Bayern believed that they had finally reached a full agreement and immediately booked in Kane’s medical for Friday morning.

Claims that Tottenham tried to change the terms of the agreement with Bayern have caused a delay in Kane’s arrival but the deal is now hurtling towards a conclusion.
