American woman causes outrage with recipe for British eggs with whipped cream and sugar

An American woman living in the UK has horrified social media users with a bizarre recipe for ‘British eggs’, using whipped cream and sugar.

It comes after Michelle, who is originally from North Carolina, went viral after posting a recipe for ‘British tea’ by microwaving the water, pouring in a third of a cup of milk, dropping in a tea bag, and then drowning it all in sugar.

In her latest TikTok video, Michelle said she’s had ‘a lot of questions about making an English breakfast’, before removing two eggs from the fridge and cracking them into a  bowl.

Next she piled in salt, a pinch of pepper and a teaspoon of sugar, and gluttonous amounts of whipped cream, before whisking it all together and putting in the microwave for two minutes before declaring ‘that’s how you make British eggs’.

The mother-of-three, who has a YouTube page about living in the UK,  horrified social media users with her bizarre recipe.

‘Surely this is a joke. This is not real’ said one TikTok user.

‘She’s doing this on purpose now’ added another.

‘THAT IS NOT. YOU PUT YOUR EGG ON A PAN, THEN PUT ON YOUR SALT AND PEPPER THEN YOU LEAVE IT TO FRY,’ a third wrote.

‘What the hell? No it isn’t. Please don’t say you’re doing British things when clearly you’re not. I’m not being mean or negative,’ a fourth said.

‘Not one part of this is making British eggs. They don’t go in the fridge and you DONT PUT SUGAR IN THEM????’ complained a fellow TikTok user.

‘She knows exactly what she’s doing and I both love and despise her for it’ he added.

In early May, Michelle went viral for a TikTok video in which she broke down how she makes ‘hot tea’ using powdered instant tea mix, Tang orange drink mix, instant lemonade, sugar, and a couple of spices — a recipe that had other social media users expressing disgust and dismay.

Michelle appears to have a thick skin, because just a month later, she’s uploaded another tea technique, which she claimed to be an authentic British tea to the dismay of many.

‘So I got a lot of questions after my last video, and everyone wanted to see me make hot tea, or British tea — so today we’re gonna make tea,’ she says to the camera as she stands side-by-side with one of her teenage daughters.

First, they fill a mug about two thirds of the way with water from the sink. They microwave the water for a minute, then pour in milk to fill the last third of the cup.

Her daughter then drops in a tea bag and sprinkles quite a lot of sugar into the already nearly-overflowing mug.

The reaction to the new video has been nearly just as aghast as that to her original video.

‘I get a lot of questions about hot tea, so I’m gonna show you what this American girl likes as hot tea,’ she said in the video.

With the assistance of her twin daughters, she mixed together one cup of Lipton instant tea, two cups of sugary Tang, what appears to be a half cup of Country Time lemonade, two cups sugar, two teaspoons of cinnamon, and one teaspoon of cloves.

The resulting mix of powder fills a large bowl. She then filled a mug up with water, microwaved it, and added a few teaspoons of drink mix.
