The handy woman, who is behind the popular Facebook page, The Bargain Hunter, also created a wall hook using the handles
Michelle used a large glass ribbed canister for $6 and a small version for $4 as well as the two rattan-look handles, usually used for drawers or cupboards, all from Kmart to make trendy food containers.
‘I love the new look lids – I think they look pretty cute styled up in the kitchen!’ she wrote in a post.
While the handles are typically attached by screws, the clever mum used Gorilla Glue from Bunnings to secure them to the canister lids as a chic pantry storage fix.
‘I did attempt to drill a hole through the lid however the wood was too thick for the screws so my next option was to glue them on with some super strong glue,’ she said.

Michelle shared another simple hack using the budget-friendly handles to build a wall hook for her craft room.
‘It was super easy to make- you just need a drill, measuring tape and a nice piece of wood!’ she explained.
She sanded down a long piece of wood and with a measuring tape pencilled in four evenly spaced marks for where the handles would go.
Over the marks she drilled four holes and attached the handles using the screws provided.
