Dumped  NRL player Lachlan Lewis seemingly has a new career – as a social media sensation.

A recent heartwarming clip has showcased Lewis’ surging popularity online, racking up a staggering 49 million views on TikTok and Instagram combined.

The ten-second video, posted in December, shows Lewis, 25, sharing a tender moment with his baby daughter Halli on the couch of their Brisbane home.

‘Even when I’m busy she’s so happy to be with me… stop growing up so quickly Big Hal. #mybabby #daddysgirls #family #bestie,’ former Canterbury Bulldogs playmaker Lewis wrote on Instagram.

In an account named @lewplustwo with partner Stephanie, the couple have a whopping 650,000 plus followers on TikTok.

Two other videos on the couple’s account also recently snared 11 million views each.

Much to the delight of their followers, the in-demand couple chronicle their life in Brisbane as doting parents to two young daughters, Pia, 2, and Halli, 1.

They are also soon expecting their third child – a boy – in the next few weeks.

With his professional sporting career currently in limbo after the Bulldogs sacked him last year, Lewis is now working as a personal trainer, wellness e-book author and even as a photographer on Instagram, according to the Daily Telegraph.

The nephew of rugby league legend Wally Lewis was sent packing by Canterbury when he bizarrely tried to sell a sound speaker on eBay that was NRL property.

The matter was referred to the code’s Integrity Unit, with the Bulldogs and Lewis then parting ways.

He was also off-contract, but after his fall from grace, no rival NRL clubs enquired about Lewis’ services.

Nibbles from the English Super League were also believed to be minimal.

Lewis made his NRL debut in 2018, but dips in form saw him spend plenty of time in the second tier NSW Cup.

He managed just 43 first grade matches for the Bulldogs until 2021 at the Belmore based club.
