A food and travel guide recently discovered a little-known ‘hot tub and movie’ hub on the balcony of a hotel.

Bianca Ling was visiting the Melbourne Marriott and shared her ‘stunning’ experience in a TikTok video that now has more than 1.5 million views.

‘A little piece of heaven,’ she captioned the video. 

The ‘Hot Tub & Movies Under The Stars’ (starting at $399/night) package provides a private hot tub cinema on a balcony overlooking the city’s buzzing central business district.

The private open-air cinema has a wide-rage of benefits including an intimate setting and an almost-endless list of movies to choose from.

But despite the viral video, multiple critics were quick to judge the concept.

Some even going as far as to link cheaper bathtubs that were available for purchase from retail outlets.

‘I refuse to pay so much to sit in a blown up spa,’ said one man. ‘It’s no wonder people want to go overseas instead.’

‘This is so unreasonable,’ added another. ‘The rooms look ridiculous and they haven’t been renovated in a decade.’

But many praised the set up and hinted at plans to visit the hotel in the future.

‘This looks so classy and exciting,’ said one woman. ‘Will definitely book it for the next Melbourne trip.’

‘I’m due for a holiday soon,’ wrote another. ‘This is perfect timing.’

‘Late Valentine’s gift?’ prompted another woman as she tagged her partner.
