A pregnant woman has gone viral on social media after revealing how the size of her baby bump varies depending on the time of day.
Posting under the handle @alanas.life on TikTok, the UK-based influencer revealed she is half way through her pregnancy.
The star, who has racked up 83,000 followers from sharing her lifestyle, uploaded a video showing her baby bump barely visible at 10am and significantly more noticeable at midnight.
The short clip racked up over 155,000 views, with many commenters admitting that they assumed a pregnant woman’s belly stays the same size all day.

Posting on TikTok, Alana joked ‘looks like I’ve skipped a whole trimester in a single day’ as she compared the footage
Alana donned a loose fitting summer dress for the video and rubbed her hand over her stomach to make her baby bump more visible.
Having seen the striking difference in size between 10am and midnight, she joked in the caption of the post writing: ‘Look like I’ve skipped a whole trimester in a single day’
The TikToker began a discussion with her followers in the comment section of the post.
Alana wrote: ‘Anyone else not realise this was even a thing before they got pregnant?? I just assumed your bump stayed the same size for the day hahaha’
Many responses to the comment admitted they were surprised by how much her baby bump expanded in just a few hours.
One person wrote: ‘I’m 17 weeks and I’m so glad to see this is normal! By the end of the day I have such a bump’
A stream of commenters told Alana they are glad to see that the difference in their pregnant belly size throughout the day is ‘normal’
