Supporters of newly-elected Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese have created a Twitter account for his adorable pooch Toto.
Toto has been named by fans as ‘Australia’s First Dog’ after his owner defeated former prime minister Scott Morrison and was sworn in as Australia’s 31st prime minister.
Toto’s new Twitter account features numerous images and videos of the beloved dog taken before and during the election campaign.

The bio for Toto’s profile reads: ‘Office of Toto Albanese, Australia’s First Dog.’
A post at the top of the page has a sweet image of Mr Albanese taking a phone call on a couch as Toto is pictured sitting next to him.
‘Hello Australia! Dad thought it’d be a furry good idea to get me a Twitter account so here I am! Woof!’ the caption for the post read.
Another image sees the Labor Leader during his campaign smiling as he carries Toto in his arms and stands next to a supporter also carrying his dog.
Both dogs are pictured wearing red bandanas with the words ‘Albo 2022’ on the front.
‘Dad brought me along to a furry busy playdate over the weekend!’ the caption said.

Fans of Toto took to the creation of the Twitter page with great enthusiasm and warmth.
‘Toto Albanese: Minister for Good Boys,’ said one user with an image of Toto.
‘Big lick for Australia’s First Dog (ears back, wagging tail). Welcome Toto Albanese. Long may you tweet,’ wrote another.
A third commented: ‘I’m looking forward to hearing all of Toto’s woofs about life as the Top Dog.’
Other followers of the page posted images of their own dogs to introduce them to Toto.
In the space of six hours, Toto’s Twitter account already has more than 8000 followers.
