The release of his Wonder Woman: 1984 sequel has been pushed to next year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

But it seems that Chris Pine is back at work on one of the projects he lined up during the lockdown.

The actor, 40, was spotted arriving at a studio lot in Los Angeles on Thursday, driving himself there in his vintage Mercedes Convertible.

Pine looked casual on the hot fall day in a green polo shirt and brown shorts which he paired with white sneakers.

His hair was swept back from his forehead and he sported sunglasses along with a face mask.

He brought with him his phone and a tablet.

It was announced last month that Pine’ spy thriller All the Old Knives, based on the best-selling novel of the same name, has landed at Amazon Studios.

He and Thandie Newton star as CIA operatives and former lovers who meet up for dinner at Carmel-by-the-Sea to reminisce about their time together in Vienna six years previously.

Pine’s character is still with the agency but Newton has moved on to marriage and children.

During the evening, their conversation inevitably turns to the disastrous hijacking of a Royal Jordanian passenger plane that ended with the deaths of everyone on board, and in doing so, it becomes clear that at least one of them has some unfinished business to deal with.

Also lined up on Pine’s calendar is a role in Olivia Wilde’s psychological thriller set in the 1950s titled Don’t Worry Darling and he’s attached to star with Mark Ruffalo in Newsflash, a drama about newsman Walter Cronkite’s coverage of the President Kennedy assassination.

In demand: Pine, pictured in 2016, has three movie projects lined up: All The Old Knives with Thandie Newton, Don't Worry, Darling with Olivia Wilde and Newsflash with Mark Ruffalo
