Ant McPartlin and girlfriend Anne-Marie Corbett were seen showing their support for the NHS as they joined their neighbours in clapping for their heroes.

The Britain’s Got Talent host, 44, and his partner stepped out from their plush London home and took part in the weekly salute to the key workers on the frontline fighting the coronavirus.

The pair were accompanied by Anne-Marie’s two daughters for the applause, as well as the couple’s two Maltipoo dogs Milo and Bumble.

Ant looked in good spirits as he enthusiastically clapped alongside the girls, while other neighbours gathered nearby.

One of Anne-Marie’s daughter even banged on a saucepan to make as much noise for the key workers as possible.

Dressed casually in a navy sweater and shorts, Ant flashed a broad smile as he clapped, before taking a picture of the group.

On the same night, Ant’s co-presenter Declan Donnelly and wife Ali Astall were also seen clapping for the NHS as they lead a host of stars in paying the weekly tribute.

Ant and Ali were seen joining the nation outside their home and joining in with the applause which rang out across the nation on Thursday – as staff across the country continue to place themselves in harm’s way to beat coronavirus.

Joining Dec and Ali in clapping for the carers were stars including the Beckham family, Ryan Thomas and Lucy Mecklenburgh, and Brian May and wife Anita Dobson.

Meanwhile, Ant and Dec interrupted the first episode of Britain’s Got Talent on Saturday to give an important message amid the coronavirus pandemic.

At the start of the show, a video popped up of the presenting duo sitting in their living rooms separately, with the pair going on to insist the ITV was filmed before the current social distancing restrictions.

Last month, the government issued guidelines to the UK to observe a distance of two metres from people outside their household in a bid to stem the spread of COVID-19.

And the Geordie duo were quick to point out that the audition shows, which saw audience members and the judges sitting closely together, was filmed earlier this year.

After they greeted fans and wished them well, Ant said to the camera: ‘Now before we get going with our first audition of 2020, we just wanted to assure you that everything you’re about to see was filmed back in January and February.’

With Dec then adding: ‘Yes, so from everyone at BGT and our sponsor M&S Food, we hope tonight’s show puts a smile on your face.

‘So enjoy and let’s bring on the talent!’
