Holly Willoughby revealed she clapped so hard during Thursday evening’s nationwide applause for the NHS and key workers she broke her wooden spoon.
The TV presenter, 38, joined millions of people around the country to applaud the heroes across the country who continue to place themselves in harm’s way to beat coronavirus.
The This Morning host took to Instagram and shared a snap of her smashed wooden spoon after she broke it while banging it against a pan during the applause.

Proudly holding up the spoon, Holly captioned the snap: #Clapforyourcarers #NHS ❤️’.
Holly was not the only one who suffered the mishap as fellow TV presenters Angela Scanlon and Kate Thornton commented on her snap and said they broke their spoons as well.
Several other stars joined in the nationwide applause on Thursday including Declan Donnelly, the Beckham family, Tess Daly, Vernon Kay, Cheryl and Harry Redknapp.

The TV presenter took to the social media app to post a step-by-step tutorial of how she manages to keep her hair platinum blond during lockdown.
Holly anticipated people would question how she managed to get her locks dyed during lockdown, while all hairdressers have been forced to shut down.
The mother-of-three joked she knew people would tell her she was ‘doing it wrong’, however she insisted it’s the way she always does her own hair.

Holly admitted to ‘occasionally’ going to the salon for highlights to break it up, however ‘nine times out of ten’ she will dye it herself at home.
Revealing the impressive finished product once she had finished, Holly exclaimed: ‘No roots, no disasters.’
It comes after Holly shared a gushing post to mark her daughter Belle’s 9th birthday on Tuesday, as they celebrated the big day in lockdown.

The star, who is on an Easter break from This Morning presenting duties, shared a snap of the ice cream cake she made with her daughter on Saturday.
