  • Costco customers have been left raving over a $20 DIY taco kit
  • The chicken tacos are spicy, warned one mum, but ‘quick to make and delicious’
  • The street food kit is ‘bigger than it looks’ customers said and can feed a family

A spicy take on Mexico’s favourite street food has left Costco customers’ mouths watering as their ‘huge’ DIY taco kit explodes in popularity.

The $20 meal ‘easily’ feeds a family of four, according to chuffed diners, and is super quick to prepare for time-poor households.

But many warn the chipotle chicken, which is included in the pack, could be a little bit too spicy for children.

‘It’s absolutely fine for us, not over the top, but a bit much for the kids,’ one mum said after posting a picture of the meal.

One man said it was also too spicy for his family, but he didn’t mind.

‘It’s dinner, lunch and dinner tomorrow for me,’ he bragged.

Others agreed and said the heat rating should be displayed on the packaging.

‘They are hot, that’s a major think people should point out,’ one mum said.

The mum who triggered the conversation said she simply heated the chicken in a pan, adding a cup of chicken stock to ‘make it a bit saucy’.

The kit comes with 12 tortillas, according to one customer, who said they are ‘up the back near the cooked chicken’ rather than in the fridge section.
