Katie Price’s son Harvey, 18, is rushed to hospital for the second time in two weeks as he’s struggling to breathe and at risk of organ failure

Katie Price’s son Harvey has been rushed to hospital for the second time in just two weeks.

A representative confirmed the teenager, who turned 18 in May, is at risk of organ failure after his temperature reached 42 degrees over the weekend.

The celebrity offspring has the rare genetic disorder Prader-Willi Syndrome, among other health complications including being blind due to Septo-optic dysplasia, while he is also autistic, has an underactive thyroid and diabetes.

A spokesperson for Katie told The Sun: ‘His condition is very dangerous and Katie is terrified.

‘He has a temperature of 42 degrees and is struggling to breathe. One of his conditions is adrenal failure that could cause his organs to fail and is very dangerous.’

The former glamour model, 42, is said to have called an ambulance for her eldest child when she noticed he was feeling unwell before he was sent to a specialist paediatric hospital.

According to the NHS, a high temperature is usually considered to be 38 degrees or above.

Addison’s disease, also known as primary adrenal insufficiency or hypoadrenalism, is a rare disorder of the adrenal gland in which it does not produce enough cortisol or aldosterone.

MailOnline has contacted a representative for Katie for further comment.

Katie Price suffers an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction on Studio 10

Katie Price suffers an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction on Australian TV as she admits things are getting ‘better’ with ex-husband Peter Andre

Katie Price suffered an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction on Australian morning show Studio 10 on Thursday.

The British model and reality star, 42, gave viewers an eyeful in a tight beige T-shirt, which was slightly see-through.

Despite being covered up, the former glamour model’s bare chest was partially visible under the flimsy fabric.

During the interview, Katie opened up about her tumultuous relationship with her ex-husband Peter Andre.

The former couple were married from 2005 to 2009 and have two children together.

‘All I’m going to say about Pete and me is we agree to disagree,’ she said firmly.

‘That’s all I’m going to say about me and Pete because I’ve been on TV before with you guys and expressed how I feel. It’s been a long journey.’

She concluded: ‘We agree to disagree, it’s better than it was.’

Katie is currently dating former Love Island star Carl Woods, 31, who appeared on the British series back in 2016.

The former Page 3 girl spoke about the romance to Studio 10, telling the panel: ‘I think he looks like Channing Tatum!’

She added: ‘I finally found my prince… He appreciates me for me and he understands my job and what comes with it.’

‘He’s been the one to put a smile back on her face after her split from Kris, which has taken her a long time to get over.

‘There has been a lot of drama and upset in Katie’s life the last year but she’s so happy to have met Carl and they both laugh over the fact he was once on Love Island.’

Katie Price admits she hopes she outlives son Harvey because he ‘won’t cope without her’

Katie Price has admitted she hopes she’ll outlive her son Harvey as he ‘won’t cope without her.’

Speaking candidly about her relationship with her oldest son, 18, the former glamour model, 42, said that she worries how Harvey would take care of himself, and is focused on improving his health after he was rushed to hospital earlier this week.

Katie also admitted that she would have taken her own life when she entered The Priory in January if it wasn’t for her five children, as she couldn’t cope with the idea of leaving them behind.

Hard: Katie Price, 42, has admitted she hopes she’ll outlive her son Harvey, 18, as he ‘won’t cope without her,’ after he was rushed to hospital with a chest infection earlier this week

Katie told The Sun that she worries how Harvey would cope on his own due to his complex medical needs.

Harvey is on the autistic spectrum and has Prader-Willi Syndrome, which can cause excessive eating and was born with septo-optic dysplasia which has left him partially sighted.

Katie admitted that doctors have warned her that Harvey – who weighs 27 stone – could suffer a heart attack if he doesn’t lose weight, and she still fears the prospect of her son taking care of himself in the future.

She said: ‘I know it’s horrible to say, but I wish he’d go before me because he wouldn’t cope without me.

‘He’d be so heartbroken and wouldn’t understand where I’d gone.’

Earlier this week Harvey was admitted to hospital after suffering from chest pains during his sister Princess’ 13th birthday party, and the star admitted she ‘feared the worst’ during the emergency.

Harvey was later diagnosed with a chest infection and fluid in his lungs, and was discharged the following day.

The star also told the publication that the online abuse her son receives was part of the reason she entered The Priory in January.

At her darkest moments, Katie admitted that only the thought of her five children Harvey, Junior, 15, Princess, 13, Jett, six, and Bunny, five, stopped her from taking her own life.

She added: ‘I could have gone off and hanged myself, which I wanted to do, but I didn’t because I have kids. I know it’s a harsh comment but it’s the truth.’

Katie – who shares son Harvey with footballer Dwight Yorke – said she’s happy to be her oldest child’s sole parent and carer as Dwight has no contact with his son, and is currently filming a BBC documentary about living as a single mum.

She added that she hopes the programme  will offer a new insight into the daily challenges of caring for her son.

Usually Harvey attends a residential school during the week, but Katie admitted it hasn’t been easy home-schooling him during lockdown.

Junior and Princess currently live with their dad Peter Andre, while Bunny and Jett are with Katie’s ex-husband Kieran Hayler, but the star said she’s on good terms with both of her former partners since moving into a new home close by.

This week Katie also spoke to a Commons committee about the online abuse her son has received as part of her campaign for Harvey’s Law, which would make such behaviour a criminal offence.

Katie Price’s daughter Princess, 13, ‘set to launch a career as a YouTuber with shopping reviews’… after setting up her own Instagram as a birthday gift

Katie Price and Peter Andre’s daughter Princess is reportedly set to launch her own YouTube channel offering beauty reviews and shopping hauls.

The former glamour model, 41, believes that YouTube is ‘the future’ and has apparently given Princess the go ahead to set up her own channel.

Princess, 13, will be following in her older brother Junior’s footsteps, who uses his own channel – Harvey’s Place – to talk about his love of music.

New venture: Katie Price and Peter Andre’s daughter Princess is reportedly set to launch her own YouTube channel offering beauty reviews and shopping hauls

Katie herself has a hugely successful channel with 153,000 subscribers where she shares an insight into her home life with her kids.

A source told The Sun Online: ‘Princess’s channel will launch next week as Katie thinks it’s the future.

‘Princess is a natural performer and will be doing a mixture of things – beauty and shopping hauls, giving fans a look inside her life and showing off her new pets too.’

Katie said last month that all her children were keen to become social media stars.

Writing for New! magazine, she said: ‘They all do it on their own. They don’t have me prompting them.

‘I think Junior is going to do it as well. The only shy one is Jett. He’s painfully shy but it makes him all the more special.’

This comes after Princess celebrated her 13th birthday by finally posting her first picture on Instagram as she is now old enough to have an account.

Princess already has 62,000 followers on the social media platform after sharing just one snap of herself and her dog Blade.

She posted her first ever snap on Monday, with the caption: ‘I’m now 13 and finally allowed my Instagram account! Yay.’

She wasn’t allowed to have her own account until today, as Instagram’s guidelines state that all users must be at least 13 years old.

Katie posted an adorable set of photos on Monday morning to celebrate her daughter’s birthday and to introduce her Instagram account.

The mother-of-five wrote: ‘Happy Birthday to my absolute world Princess.⁣

Katie Price reveals ‘disgusting’ abuse trolls aim at disabled son Harvey

Katie Price has today revealed the ‘disgusting’ abuse trolls aim at her disabled son Harvey as she demands MPs change the law so online bullies face justice at a landmark parliamentary inquiry.

The ex-glamour model gave evidence to the Petitions Committee this afternoon via video link for the new inquiry into online abuse.

Price, 42, revealed three police officers, cricketer Ben Stokes and comedian Frankie Boyle had all mocked her son.

She wants a new UK law – which she has dubbed ‘Harvey’s Law’ – to be created to make online trolling a specific criminal offence.

Price also wants a register of people found guilty of online abuse.

She told MPs: ‘Throughout the years I get a lot of trolling and online abuse. The difference is I’m able to speak out myself, but my son Harvey was born with disabilities, he gets a lot of racial abuse, disgusting despicable things.

‘He gets memes made about it, TikToks, posters, he gets mocked in such a serious disgusting way, there has to be some kind of justice.’

She commented: ‘I think on social media there has be some kind of consequences.

‘We are all allowed freedom of speech but you know when you’re crossing that line, more people are committing suicide, it’s just getting worse, it’s on a wider spectrum.

‘It’s got to become a law and if it doesn’t this time, I will keep fighting until it does. How far does it have to go before consequences are done?’

Price added: ‘This is disgusting, they need to be banned. If you go and get a mortgage or a car they want to know your name, your address, credit checks, why can’t they do it on social media? There is not enough protection.’

Price said she did not want to stop Harvey enjoying social media and sharing videos of his keyboard playing.

Price, pictured outside Parliament with her son Harvey in 2018, said three police officers, cricketer Ben Stokes and comedian Frankie Boyle had all mocked her son

‘Why should he stop doing it, why should I be told I can’t let him enjoy that, when other people do?’

She added she spent time in The Priory earlier this year, saying: ‘I can see how people end up committing suicide. It all goes down to mental health, think what the bullying and trolling does.’

Price joked: ‘I should become an MP because you can’t get a word in with me’, before adding that her campaign to end abuse has spurred on some trolls.

She said: ‘It’s encouraged trolls I think, “you can’t stop me so I will carry on”.

‘They are laughing at him, not with him. He gets a lot of it from football fans, they call him a gorilla, I’m not going to say it all, it should be treated the same when it’s written, I think people are more shocked verbally.’

Price’s mother, Amy, told MPs there should be a register of trolls, and said: ‘They can go on this register because there have got to be consequences.’

Price added: ‘People think it’s funny to show to their friends, there is no penalty, they might get their account closed down but they open it in another name or another email address and carry on.

‘Nothing has improved, things have got worse.’

Price said she had had no response from social media companies when she complained to them and it took her two years to get her Facebook account back after she was hacked by a stalker.

She said: ‘They have got to step up, they just have to. You report it but you never hear back or you still see them up there.’

She added: ‘There have been more suicides, more mental health issues, more abuse, the language on there is getting worse, because people know they can get away with it.’

The reality TV star also appeared before a parliamentary committee two years ago in an attempt to help combat trolls hurling racist abuse at 18-year-old Harvey, who is blind and has a range of health problems which hamper his speech.

Price’s petition in 2017 to criminalise trolling has received over 220,000 signatures, and led to a parliamentary inquiry into online abuse.

The Petitions Committee recommended legal protections for disabled people suffering from hate crime in its findings published in January last year.

WHAT ARE HARVEY’S HEALTH PROBLEMS?

Harvey has been diagnosed with Prader-Willi syndrome, which leaves him with an excessive appetite and led to him being overweight, with weak muscles and learning difficulties.

He also has been a rare condition called septo-optic dysplasia which has left him partially blind.

And he also has autism – a condition which affects his ability to talk and communicate with others, Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) which leaves him hyperactive and unable to concentrate easily.

A new inquiry, called ‘Tackling Online Abuse’, will ‘look again at the experiences of people who have faced online abuse, while focusing primarily on potential solutions for its reduction and prevention, legally, socially and technologically’.

As part of the investigation, the Committee will ‘scrutinise’ the Government’s response to online abuse and ‘continue to press on the action it needs to take’.

It follows The Only Way is Essex star, Bobby Norris, speaking to MPs about his experiences of homophobic abuse, after his petition on tackling online abuse raised more than 133,000 signatures.

Catherine McKinnell, Chair of the Petitions Committee, said: ‘Online abuse is a silent menace, and our new inquiry is an eleventh hour bid to put an end to it before it spirals out of control.

‘With social distancing rules, people are spending ever more of their lives online.

‘The importance of doing something about this issue before it causes more damage is greater than ever.

‘If we don’t take action soon, then there is a real risk that a whole new generation will be irretrievably exposed to and harmed by online abuse.

‘I’m pleased to welcome Katie back to the Committee after first meeting her during her campaign against online abuse last year.

‘Her bravery in sharing her personal experiences of the abuse she has endured alongside her son Harvey will shine a light on key issues, and will help this new landmark investigation find practical and technological solutions to the problem.’

The Labour MP added: ‘The Government has failed to make sufficient progress on preventing online abuse, and our inquiry represents a watershed moment where we can either take action to deal with this crisis or leave it free to cause its harm in so many aspects of modern life.

‘We are calling for evidence from expert witnesses in this area and the general public, and our Committee will conduct its investigation over the coming weeks and months as we hold the Government to account on this issue.’

'Make online abuse a specific criminal offence and create a register of offenders'

‘Make online abuse a specific criminal offence and create a register of offenders’

Trolling is a major problem in this day and age. People of all ages and background suffer every day, including my family – especially my son Harvey. I have tried my best to expose people and even had two arrested but nothing was done and there were no repercussions or penalties for this behaviour.

This does not affect just high profile people it affects everyone from every walk of life from young children, teenagers, people at work, husbands and wives. This abuse includes racism, homophobia, body shaming and a whole range of other hate speech. This petition is an important topical issue and I want it to help bring justice to everyone who has ever suffered at the hands of trolls.

Help me to hammer home worldwide that bullying is unacceptable whether it’s face to face or in an online space.

Katie Price’s son Harvey, 18, has been discharged from hospital

Katie Price’s son Harvey, 18, has been discharged from hospital after contracting ‘bug’ and needing ‘urgent medical care’ at sister Princess’s party

Katie Price’s son Harvey is back home from hospital after falling ill at his mother’s Surrey mansion while celebrating sister Princess’s 13th birthday on Monday.

The 18-year-old, who suffers from Prader-Willi syndrome, septo-optic dysplasia, has autism, an underactive thyroid and diabetes, had contracted a bug.

Luckily he was allowed back home later that day and Katie’s spokesperson told MailOnline: ‘Katie is delighted to have Harvey home.

‘Harvey was upset to leave Princess on her birthday, returning home last night to lots of hugs and cuddles. Harvey will be making a full recovery.

‘There’s never a dull moment in the Pricey household.’

Katie, 42, had urgently called an ambulance for Harvey as a precautionary measure.

Katie’s representative told The Sun Online on Monday: ‘Harvey has been taken to a local hospital for tests – he wasn’t feeling well yesterday and has today presented symptoms that require urgent medical attention.

‘Katie recognised the signs and knew when to call an ambulance. He’s expected to be discharged later today.’

The latest comes after Peter Andre’s doctor wife Emily, 30 – who lives with Princess and her brother Junior, 15 – revealed she had tested positive for coronavirus antibodies after contracting the disease in March.

But this is not linked to Harvey falling ill.

During lockdown, Katie has been isolating with her children at a £4,250-per-month mansion close to her ex Peter, 49, with whom she shares two children.

Katie also shares son Jett, six, and daughter Bunny, five, with estranged husband Kieran Hayler, 33, and they have been sharing custody in lockdown.

Speaking to OK! magazine, Emily said she had suspected she had caught the disease back in March and had protected her family by quarantining herself away, and has now tested positive for antibodies.’

She said: ‘We don’t know how long immunity lasts or if you can catch the virus again. It’s easy to be blase as a healthy 30-year-old, but I was lucky I didn’t get more unwell with it.’

The adopted daughter of former footballer Paul Gascoigne ensured nothing got in the way of her exercise session as she swept her tresses into a ponytail and listened to her favourite tunes via Apple AirPods.

Last week, reality star Katie, 41,  accused her ex Kris of messaging her while he was seeing Bianca in an interview with new! magazine, claiming she first learned they were dating three days after he insisted he was single.

In an attempt to ‘prove’ she didn’t force her way into Kris’ home, Katie released footage of their meeting to The Sun.

Katie’s representative told MailOnline on Friday that the police’s investigation has been closed, and she’s now focused on her upcoming meeting with Parliament regarding Harvey’s Law.

Katie Price’s son Harvey is taken to hospital for ‘urgent medical care’ after falling ill at home

Katie Price’s eldest child Harvey was admitted to hospital on Monday morning after falling ill.

The teenager, who turned 18 last month, has the rare genetic disorder Prader-Willi Syndrome, among other health complications including being blind due to Septo-optic dysplasia while he is also autistic, has an underactive thyroid and diabetes.

Harvey was seen being treated by paramedics at their rented Surrey mansion as his sister Princess was celebrating her 13th birthday party.

‘Katie recognised the signs and knew when to call an ambulance. He’s expected to be discharged later today.’

MailOnline has contacted Katie’s representatives for further comment.

Due to Harvey’s complex needs, he lives in residential care, but has been home with Katie during lockdown amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Katie made the heartbreaking decision to send Harvey – who suffers from numerous medical conditions – to residential care last year.

Harvey was born with septo-optic dysplasia, a condition that means the development of his optic nerve was unpredictable.

Katie also later discovered he is on the autistic spectrum, gains weight easily because he suffers from Prader–Willi syndrome, and finds mobility difficult.

On an episode of Katie Price: My Crazy Life in April 2019, the mother-of-five candidly admitted she ‘had no option’ but to send Harvey to the care centre, as she admitted it was ‘selfish’ of her to keep him at home.

During lockdown, Katie has been isolating with her children at a £4,250-per-month mansion close to her ex Peter Andre, with whom she shares two children.

Son Junior, 15, and daughter Princess, 13, have been dividing their time between their mother Katie’s home and Peter, who has been locked down with his wife Emily and their children Amelia, six, and Theo, three.

Katie also shares son Jett, six, and daughter Bunny, five, with estranged husband Kieran Hayler, and they have been sharing custody in lockdown.

Last month, Katie said disabled son Harvey was ‘sent to her for a reason’ in an emotional interview with OK! Magazine to mark his 18th birthday.

The former glamour model showed her love for her eldest son in a touching chat, and slammed his estranged father Dwight Yorke for allegedly failing to wish Harvey a happy birthday.

Katie, who shares a famously close bond with her son, said: ‘I do think Harvey was sent to me for a reason. I’ve always had a caring side and wanted to look after someone. Sometimes I think it was meant to be.’

She added: ‘He’s the only child that no one can ever try to take away from me. The others have their dads, but it’s reassuring for me that he’s always by my side.’

The star, who dated ex Manchester United star Dwight, 48, from 2000-2001, also criticised Dwight for his alleged lack of contact with Harvey.

In her 2016 book Reborn, the mother-of-five insisted Dwight was unwilling to accept the limitations of his son’s disabilities.

In October 2019, Katie also claimed it has been 13 years since Dwight had seen Harvey, and in an emotional video two months later, she pleaded for the former footballer to see his son.

When asked if Dwight had been in touch for his son’s birthday, : ‘No, it’s like he has no feelings for Harvey whatsoever. ‘The only thing that upsets me is that Harvey has a half-brother out there and he’s never met him.

She added that it was ‘never too late’ and that the door was ‘always open’ for Dwight to come back into his son’s life.

Katie and Dwight had split by the time she gave birth to her first child Harvey in May 2002 and the model has since criticised the sportsman for his treatment of their son.

She has previously said she thinks TOWIE star James Lock is ‘fit.’

And Katie Price got her tape measure out for the handsome chap, 33,  as they met up to promote the Love At First Swipe dating app in London on Sunday.

Katie, 42, looked very flirty as she got out her tape measure, but her reasons weren’t as saucy as you might think.

The former glamour model was making sure James kept two metres apart from her during the photocall at Xier restaurant due to social distancing measures.

Katie and James were also joined by fellow TOWIE hunk Pete Wicks, 31, as all three took part in blind dates on their phones.

The mother-of-five was dressed in black on the day, wearing a simple top with matching cycling shorts and chunky flat boots.

James wore a navy form-fitting T-shirt and cargo trousers and trainers, with both parties showing off their dark tans.

Pete showed off his long curly locks as he posed for pictures in a casual dark ensemble and a camel coloured hat.

She said: ‘I think James Lock is fit. And I think Jack Fincham is fit. I’ve met them both, but no one’s flirted with me.

‘Dan Osborne is fit, but he’s taken. I think it’s when [Essex boys are] like, “Hello, darling!” and “Hello, sweet cheeks!” Oh, and I still think Chris Hughes is fit.’

Katie is thought to be single after splitting from personal trainer Kris Boyson, 29, who is now dating Bianca Gascoigne, 33.

Kris recently reported Katie to police for turning up at his house and accusing him of saying he was still single when he was dating Bianca.

In an attempt to ‘prove’ she didn’t force her way into Kris’ home, Katie released footage of her meeting with the personal trainer to The Sun.

He has since claimed he has more CCTV footage which proves otherwise, but he has not shared this.
